At last!

Pros: Everything worked out of the box! I inserted the 4 WD Red 3 TB hard disks, turned on the NAS and here we go! Also connected the NAS to my APC UPS, with the USB cable, and the NAS now understand the messages from the UPS when there are electricity outages. Bottom line: this is a great product!!!
Cons: The casing is all made of plastic. I'm used to metal... Still, so far, nothing broken!
Overall Review: The user interface is really easy to use. Once turned on, I was able to see my NAS from any Windows PC. Also streaming to my WDTV Live directly from the NAS. It does all what I need!
Works well in a HP Proliant Microserver G8

Pros: Worked right away! Very powerful CPU.
Cons: none
Well done!

Pros: Great build quality. Easy to upgrade RAM and CPU. Works well with VMWare ESXi.
Cons: As long as you do not plan to use VT-D on the Sata controller, it's all going well. The CPU heatsink is not of a standard format so it is not easy to replace it with a larger one. The server comes with a passive 35Watts TDP heat sink. Still, I'm currently using a Xeon 1240 v2 and everything's ok.
Overall Review: This is a great unit for a home lab or small enterprise. It is well built and easy to upgrade. I would just recommend not trying to use that unit as both a virtual machines server and a NAS. I tried for weeks and it's really not easy to do (if even possible)!
Used it to fit a SSD in a HP Proliant Microserver G8

Pros: Works as advertised. Simply insert the SSD in the casing and you are now handling a 3.5 inches Disk!
Cons: none so far!
Overall Review: My HP microserver is having 4 3.5 HD drawers. I wanted to use a 2.5 inches SSD in one of the HDD bays and the disk connectors must be placed exactly at the same place as on a 3.5 HDD. The ICY DOCK does the trick. Now, my SSD is in a casing that's the same size as a 3.5 inches HDD and the connectors are at the right place!
What problems?

Pros: I purchased 4 of those WD Red 3TB disks and they all work well. I first used them in an HP Proliant Microserver G8 for about a month. Then, I moved them to a Synology DS414 unit. The NAS checked the disks during close to 2 days (checking parity) and reported no error at all.
Cons: None so far!
Overall Review: It seems that there were issues with the 1st WD Red disks released on the market. The issues seems to be fixed now, at least from my experience. 4 out of 4 disks working well.
