EVGA paired with EVGA
Pros: EVGA customer Service, Simple RMA. Great product. I always recommend EVGA based on those 3 qualities. they are what make EVGA so amazing. See other thoughts.
Cons: EL-ATX, wont fit in most Mid tower cases.
Overall Review: Had an ASUS p9x79 pro, wouldnt boot up with display, asus customer service told me on the phone it didnt support the GTX780 (PCIe 3.0 it does btw) (called up newegg told them about my experience with ASUS customer service, they agreed to give me an exchange from the ASUS to an EVGA board around the same price. so i got this one without checking (other 2 were out of stock) ended up with an EL-ATX board in a mid tower case, took out my power supply, grabbed a hammer, beat the case into submission, put sound deading material where the case was beaten, and bam EL-ATX board fits in a ATX mid tower case, Power supply is zipped tied to the back for now but it works. booted the EVGA x79, got 4 beeps at D0 prompt, called EVGA support, talked to steve, less then 10 mins from me picking up the phone to me with an RMA approval email from EVGA for the GTX780... Asus it was 10 mins just trying to get a hold of someone that I could understand. I think my best advice would be buy a MoBo and GFX card from the same company ALWAYS... then my second piece of advice would be Customer Service is probably the most important part of any component, a GTX780 pretty much does the same thing from every company (Asus, EVGA, Gigabyte) so is that 0.0001 FPS More important then good customer service? I don't think it is. Based on my last piece of logic, I would have to recommend EVGA for every piece of tech that they produce.
Buyer Beware
Pros: Slick interface when working.
Cons: -Customer service -Product support -Quality Control
Overall Review: Got this 3 days ago, will boot up once perfect, run perfect, but as soon as i restart/reboot the VGA_LED comes on and the computer boots without video, power down the computer remove the power cord, wait for the LEDs to go out, then unseat the VGA card and reseat it and the computer will boot perfectly. (Did this with 3 VGA cards, GTX270 GTX470 and a GTX780 each one does the dame thing.) called up customer service since the tech support chat was down, was told by customer service that all 3 VGA cards I'm using was unsupported and therefore I'm not entitled to a working Mobo. after I asked why they weren't supported the customer service rep told me that they had different architecture. that would mean that no nvidia card would be supported by this Mobo. After talking to this Service tech for 15-20 mins I asked for my call to be escalated, he said i would have to hang up and call back since there was no way for them to transfer to other people. after telling him that that didn't make sense since there was no options after picking mobo support he told me to hold, 30 mins later he told me he contacted his managaer and they will be calling me back after 1 hour. 2 hours later with no call back im writing this review to warn others. IF YOUR USING A NVIDIA BASED CARD DO NOT BUY THIS MoBo! at this point I'm gonna contact newegg and see if i can change it for another Mobo by a different manufacture. Service (Case) Number NA3160832
Small rf keyboard
Pros: Great feeling slightly rubbery plastic, solid key press feeling, small foot print.
Cons: Uses disposable AA batteries.
It's required for windows installs.
Pros: It's a DVD player, on the cheap.
Cons: Prolly gonna take it out after installing windows, it's a DVD player cheap enough to use once and toss.
What else are you gonna buy?
Pros: It's Not windows vista, and it's younger then XP.
Cons: Having to purchase a DVD rom just to install windows.
An average rf mouse
Pros: It functions as a mouse.
Cons: It's pretty small, and even though it's meant for right hand it's shaped for either meaning it's uncomfortable, I gave mine to my girlfriend and ordered a g700.
