Good Bang for the Buck

ADATA 4GB Class 6 Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) Flash Card Model TurboSD SDHC 4G
ADATA 4GB Class 6 Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) Flash Card Model TurboSD SDHC 4G

Pros: I purchased this product for use in my Nikon D80. With the right configuration I can get 11 frames in my buffer with an average of 6; however, the speed is impressive to where I don't feel the 6 frame buffer much at all.

Cons: Can't think of any. Brand association isn't that of SanDisk, Panasonic, etc..

Overall Review: One other observation. Formating this card straight "out of the box" from my camera was near instant; if not non-existent. I have pushed a lot of files through it, and have not experienced any hiccups.

You pay for what you get

OLYMPUS ME-52W 3.5mm Connector Noise-Cancellation Microphone
OLYMPUS ME-52W 3.5mm Connector Noise-Cancellation Microphone

Pros: Clarity at close range and form factor of product.

Cons: Poor performance as a shotgun mic, picks up lots of ambient noise when input volume and liberal mic boost is used.

Overall Review: Bottom line, this should only be used as a lapel mic with a decent transmitter OR as intended with an Olympus recorder. PER THE INSTRUCTIONS, you will only get the most out of this mic with an Olympus recorder. A decent headset or low level microphone SLAMS this out of the park.

Fine except one thing

Black Studio Microphone Shock Mount Clip Holder For MXL Large Diameter Condenser Mic
Black Studio Microphone Shock Mount Clip Holder For MXL Large Diameter Condenser Mic

Pros: Bungie material is good and mounts fine

Cons: Pot metal shock ring means if you drop it, it will shatter like a rose dipped in liquid nitrogen. BUT, the retainer ring that holds the mic is far too small. The inside of the retainer has a thin neoprene glued to the inside to protect the mic, but this cushion adds an extra 15mil that absolutely obstructs the microphone. I ended up scratching my mic because there are rivets that tie the bungie rails to the ring that dig in if you push too much.

Stay Away

Turtle Beach Ear Force Z1 PC Gaming Headset
Turtle Beach Ear Force Z1 PC Gaming Headset

Pros: -Decent mic input quality -Decent Sound quality -Long cord

Cons: -Flimsy constructions -Guaranteed failure due to weak material joints -Uncomfortable headphone cushions

Overall Review: I bought these at a local competitor, and trusted the brand. What I regret doing, was research on my favorite eggsite. This was my first Turtle Beach product and will be my last. My right headphone cup snapped off at the pivot point after a few months like others here. I tried to salvage it by a combination of modeling clay and guerrilla glue, which worked great; however, the other side had just snapped off the other day. Buyer, beware...

Run of the mill...

Microsoft Explorer Touch Mouse U5K-00034 Glossy Pink 5 (including 3 button areas on touch strip) Buttons Touch Scroll USB 2.0 RF Wireless BlueTrack Mouse
Microsoft Explorer Touch Mouse U5K-00034 Glossy Pink 5 (including 3 button areas on touch strip) Buttons Touch Scroll USB 2.0 RF Wireless BlueTrack Mouse

Pros: - wireless USB dongle can be stored INSIDE the mouse - on/off slide switch - no mouse wheel - smart implementation of the touch pad+button

Cons: - software lacking features - very small mouse - it is technically a three button mouse; buttons 4 and 5 are non-existent.

Overall Review: This mouse HAS potential. The center touch strip is a single physical button, and where you place your finger on the touch strip as you press down determines the "button" type- the problem with this is that you don't have a lot of options to remap these "touch" buttons- there is no Mouse 4 and Mouse 5 buttons with the current firmware. The mouse is capable of side swipes as well, but there is no option to remap a sideswipe to anything else but scrolling. Mouse sensitivity is limited strictly to basic sensitivity setting and no mouse acceleration. The mouse itself is fine, but the firmware is very very basic..

Missed the Target

Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 4.0 N48-00019 Silver 5 Buttons Tilt Wheel USB or PS/2 Optical Mouse
Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 4.0 N48-00019 Silver 5 Buttons Tilt Wheel USB or PS/2 Optical Mouse

Comments: I was in need of a new mouse when my original mouse, the first version of the Intellimouse Explorer(black and silver anyone?) died.. I figured go with what you know. Well I was disappointed, and rocketfodder is right. There were a few points that made the MS Intellimouse Explorer perfect for gamers. - The mouse4 and mouse5 buttons that had you go forward and back in your browser history. - The (once)tactful feel of the mouse weel - And great feeling Otherwise it's just another mediocre mouse. The once great tactful mouse wheel is now smoothed out and almost muddy feeling. You have no idea where a wheel revolution is being acknowledged. Your fingers are now in full spread eagle mode because of the addition of the tilting wheel that isn't useful at all. Mouse3(mouse wheel) clicks are hindered by the integrated tilt action causing the 3rd mouse clicks to not register half the time. Other than that the great feel is still there, but the MS Intellimouse Explorer is now an awfull gaming mouse if you expect to use the wheel in any useful capacity, but you still have the Mouse4 and Mouse5 buttons to make up for any lost button functionality. I must add the Mouse1 and Mouse2(right and left buttons) feel very nice when being pressed. If only the mwheel had the same little soft rubbery "pop".. Sorry MS.. Logxxxch beat you all at the best gaming mouse on a few important notes: - Light mouse3 button compression - Tactful mouse wheel
