Epson WF845 AIO Printer
Pros: The print quality is excellent and the printer is fast. Hooking it up to my network was a breeze.. now everyone can print without using my PC as server. It is pretty solidly built and the feeder works well so far. Prints 1>2 or 2>2 and registers fine. The extra paper tray is also a nice touch. I wanted to go with the 645 instead but I could not get one so I got this instead for a few more $$$. It's an Epson. I bought this because I like Epson printers. I have yet to get a bad one and this is my 3rd one in 13 years. My older one still works so I gave it to my daughter.
Cons: This printer is noisy. My older Epson CX4800 was almost silent when it printed.. this one is far from that. I also am not crazy about the touch screen either.. with hindsight I would have preferred to have buttons but it works decently so I can get used to it. The paper trays are a little flimsy but I am in the business and that is to be expected in a desktop printer. If you have to adjust it don't treat it like it is stainless steel.
Overall Review: All in all a good product. I still think that the 645 would have met my needs just as well but for my extra $40 I get greater paper capacity
Save your money.. get something that works.
Pros: None
Cons: Well first off right out of the box it barely held a charge. It worked for about 2 weeks but the sound quality was not that good and it kept dropping the BT synch. Then eventually it just died. Totally dead.. The customer service leaves a bit to be desired as well.
Overall Review: I do not recommend this product. Save your money and put it toward something that will work better for you because this is not it.
Great Bang for the buck
Pros: A great processor. Fast as all get out.. and while some say it was not good for gaming it did fine in everything I threw at it.. from flight sims to FPSs. Where this processor really shines in multitasking. I can rip a CD in WM while doing a virus scan, surfing the web, playing a MP3 file in WinAmp with photshop open and a game running in the background with not even a burp. My temps have never gone over 48C either doing all that..
Cons: None so far..
Overall Review: The one thing I will say is that the stock cooler is not the best. I mean it will work fine for the casual user.. but I suggest you get a better cooler if you plan to push it. I have not over clocked and I was planning to get a water kit.. but the after market cooler I got (Cooler Master Gemini II) works just fine and the processor runs so well I have had no need to OC it.. I know these CPUs bench poorly when compared to some of the Intel offerings .. but in practice I have to say that it has done what I bought it for and more very well..
It is what it is.. and it is good!
Pros: Works like a camp...
Cons: None to speak of.. It does what I expercted it to do quite nicely.
Great Card!
Pros: This is a great card.. I have had none of the driver issues some have mentioned. It runs cool and quiet. I don't do a lot of gaming.. with the exception of flight sims but this card handles all of them quite well. I got it at a great price here about 6 weeks ago and have had no problems at all.
Cons: None so far.
Day 1
Pros: The monitor is light.. looks good aesthetically.. and the picture is bright. No dead pixels out of the box.. setup was actually a breeze. I didn't even need a screwdriver.. I also like the location of the screen controls.. I am still trying to get the settings right. I am running a GTX 260 on a Fx-60 dual core processor with XP-64.
Cons: You will have to play with the settings a bit... It looked a little washed out out of the box. I am still not where I want to e with this.. but I am willing to give it a few days to find the sweet spot.. I will post back here again with an additional review or an update to this one.
Overall Review: I haven't tried the speakers at all as I have a 5.1 system.. I actually had sworn off of ASUS due to a motherboard issue a while back with my A7N8X... but I decided to give them another shot... I will see how this pans out. No show stoppers so far.. just some things that need tweaking.
