PSU defective
Pros: Great value
Cons: Defective and past the return period. Will have to take it up with manufacturer.
Overall Review: Solid value great case with 3 pin rgb.
Ran great from 6/2/2014 - 10/19/2014
Pros: Quiet Met the power minimums Sli and xfire ready Purchased with rebate for great price
Cons: Began crashing my PC after just 4 months! It began acting up today 10/19, my birthday of all days!!! A PSU tester shows no problems, its only after running for sometime that it fails. Replaced the power supply and now the PC works fine.
No longer overclockes ram, cant upgrade MEI
Pros: Works, affordable, supports quad sli and xfire
Cons: When it arrived, BIOS did not support the 4820k chip i had. I had to borrow a less powerful chip then flash it to the most recent BIOS. The board used to overclock the ram to 2133 well, but now it does not allow it and if i attempt to do it multiple times, the bios corrupts and has to pre-load it. The Intel Management Engine Interface drivers do not work and the board continues to show the driver is not installed correctly
Luckily it broke within the return period
In my opinion, usually refurbished is more reliable than new and or used. It ran well during my first stock clock benchmark, but then I pushed my 8700k and sli'ed 1080 ti's and pop! It was more than enough juice for my build, it shouldn't have had a problem, but the power supply was poorly refurbished unfortunately. Fingers crossed on a replacement from the seller.
