COUGAR Solution Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with 12cm COUGAR TURBINE HYPER-SPIN Bearing Silent Fan and USB 3.0

  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Wide enough to fit my noctua NH-D15 with room to spare. ordered because it has good fan layout, I added two 120mm fans up front to cool my hard drives, I chose this case because it did NOT have the side loading hard drives, those might be easier for installing and removing hard drives frequently, but its obvious the cases that have side loaded hard drives, don't cool the drives as well. also has a USB3 port up front that hasnt given me any trouble yet.

Cons: so far i dont really have any cons, I would have preferred a case that had less styling/plastic up front with nothing but the metal mesh, and without the word cougar(less obtrusive), something similar to the original Antec 300 case, but with usb3 port up front.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend to a friend, and as long as the sale price continues I would order again for future builds, for me a case has to be black, have plenty of front to rear ventilation to keep my hard drives cool, and enough drive bays to accommodate 6 or so hard drives, all cooled by fans, which usually means two 120mm fans up front which this does, and of coarse not break the bank, or be too flimsy.

I have had heavier/sturdier cases than this, but ive also had much flimsier cases, this case is lighter than my old cooler master case, but sturdier than a lot of budget cases ive seen.

MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) DirectX 11 N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II 2GD5/OC 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Pros: The cooler on it looks really good.

Cons: Mine displayed tons of artifacts and the started outputting purple instead of white every time it was under any kind of a load in less than a month. Ended up RMAing and geting a 480 GTX instead and for less money! Also funny enough the 480 GTX seems to be performing much better than the 560 ti did anyway.

5 out of 5 eggs does exactly what i bought them for without a hickup 01/31/2012

This review is from: MSI Radeon HD 6450 DirectX 11 R6450-MD2GD3/LP 2GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Ready Video Card

Pros: I bought two of these cards for a couple dell optiplex computers that I am using as HTPC media pcs. The dells only have 275 watt power supplies, so this lower power card worked perfectly. I have thrown 1080p encoded with x264 Hi10P (10bit 264) and the computer handles it no problem. the dells have 2.4ghz core 2 duo cpus.

Cons: none yet, I wouldn't buy one of these cards for gaming, but for a media pc where a lower power, low profile card is required they work excellent.
