Cons: Horrible sound, cheap construction, low volume.

Overall Review: I bought these speakers in the hope of getting better and louder sound from my laptop. Big mistake. The sound is tinny at best with annoying buzzing/vibrating in the background. The maximum volume is even less than the weak laptop speakers I'm trying to replace! The 'shell' of one of the speakers detached the first time I opened the speaker. The construction seems extremely cheap and assembly looks like it was done by a guy who had a few beers too many on the job. I would return them but by the time I pay for shipping I won't be getting much back. Don't make my mistake and keep your cash!

Pros: Cheaper than some others but not by enough.

Cons: I got about a 50% coaster rate. Verbatim has worked much better for me. My firmware is up-to-date and my software works fine - with Verbatim discs. From reading reviews it seems that Memorex buys their discs from different manufacturers. The pack I got was re-branded Ritek discs. Perhaps those who had better luck got better quality discs.

Overall Review: These discs are a pure gamble. If you get lucky and get a pack from a good manufacturer then they are a good buy. If your not so lucky you'll have more coasters than good burns. When you average in the extra time and aggravation of a bad pack plus the cost of the coasters Verbatim comes out to a much better deal.
