Pros: Large IPS display.
Would have been excellent for photo editing.
no bezel at all for most part.
comes with cables.
even with no power to the panel, the hdmi picked up and identified the monitor.
No power at all.
Acer Tech support was ok at best.
terrible stand with limited mobility.
Other Thoughts: Acer wanted me to send them the panel for repair. It would have been out for two weeks or so and cost me shipping. I returned it and purchased an Asus with a far better stand, reputation, and a matte screen.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Worked as it should out of the box. Overclocking is easy, BIOS is easy to navigate. Updates were straight forward. Has lots of fan capacity and just enough backwards compatibility.
Cons: has less features than the next better in the Z77 line. (duh!)
has overclocking limitations.
Other Thoughts: While far from my first computer build, I am still a decades long loyal fan of Asus. Yet again, I have not been disappointed. Easy build, and it is still performing like new at almost a year of service. My last Asus board went six years before I needed to replace it, and it still performing in my "old" box that I gave to my Lady. This one appears to be just as robust and trouble free.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: great BIOS, good software package, EZ install. Support for lots of RAM, plenty of expansion capability. Price is right. The overclocking software and fan monitoring is incredible. Takes all the trial and error out of it, and allows me to set it and forget it. All systems so far are operational, had a bit of trouble getting the chipset drivers to work, but no biggie.
Cons: Not enough SATA, what there is feels flimsy. Board should be an inch wider to accommodate more mounting screws. The Realtek Audio is awful. I took one egg for the audio, lucky I didn't take two!
Other Thoughts: Audio: Let me first say that I am not a novice, I know audio, and I know electronics. I have tried every setting there is, looked up help, tried older drivers, installed three codec packs, and disabled windows media "Media Foundation" (terrible audio) and have installed multiple players. I cannot get 5.1 out of the spdif optical unless playing a DVD. Forget about decent sound off the web. There is constant hiss on all speakers, whether playing or not. Have not tried it with a game yet. Surprising because previous ASUS boards had great audio! my a8nsli premium does it all better, and is 7 years old. I run optical into a logitech decoder, and never had this trouble before. Perhaps analog outs will work better, but I expected more from "HD Audio" After two days of tweaking I have been able to get almost satisfactory sound from mp3's. I am going to have to get a soundcard, or a DAC, which blows my budget.READ FULL REVIEW
