Good Starting Graphics Card

EVGA SuperClocked 02G-P4-2662-KR G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 660 2GB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Pros: -Good Graphics card for first build (don't need an upgrade for a year or two)

Cons: -Cooling issues -Not sure if this is true for everyone, but I am getting a terrible screeching noise when I am playing a game.

Overall Review: Other than the cooling and screeching noise, I definitely recommend this card. However, I am not fully sure whether the noise means that it is degrading.

Troublesome Case

Sentey Extreme Division GS-6060 Plus Sandy Matte Black SECC / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Sentey Extreme Division GS-6060 Plus Sandy Matte Black SECC / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: -Cheap case if you want to use as a stepping stone to a better high end case. (got it for $28 w/ rebate) -Fans!!!!

Cons: -The case feels cheap on the front plate -Inside is not really friendly for cable management (Ex: missing tiedown points) -Have to plug in USB 3.0 cable to back of mobo -Audio problems with the front microphone and headphone jacks (mixes sound that you hear into microphone sending signal)

Overall Review: Causing me a ton of problems with the audio issues since i play a ton of video games. It pretty much provides the core necessities for a case.

Meh

SteelSeries Siberia v2 Full-Size Headset Heat Orange Edition
SteelSeries Siberia v2 Full-Size Headset Heat Orange Edition

Pros: -Decent Sound -Steel Series Engine 3 -LIGHTS!! -USB -USB extender cable included -Retractable and bendable mic

Cons: -The audio trigger setting in the steel series engine will cause a buzzing noise in the left ear phone. RMA'd my first one and it still happened -Mic is not really noise cancelling. It stills picks up me typing on a regular keyboard (not mechanical) -Personally, he onboard sound card is very annoying if you plug it in through the front header usb and have a desk drawer in the way -Uncomfortably tight at first, but with continuous usage, it should feel nice and comfy

Overall Review: In the beginning, i was recommended steelseries headsets by a friend and i was ecstatic when it came in the mail. However, upon usage, i realizes it did have its flaws. By the far the most annoying thing is the buzzing noise in the left earphone. It is very minor but if you turn on the audio volume trigger on the steelseries engine 3 software then it gets very annoying. I for one dont understand the point of adding a feature that will cause an annoying problem. This is a very unfortunate problem because it would be awesome to turn that setting on at lan parties. The mic is average. Compared to my $35 plantronics, the mic on it is pretty bad. It will pick up my typing (on a non-mechanical keyboard) and background noise despite being "noise-cancelling." The quality is also worst. I initially RMA'd the first headset thinking it was defective but the 2nd still had the exact same problems. Overall, i have to give kudos on the style and sound of this headset, but because of the microphone and bugs , the overall rating suffers severely. I believe it is not worth $80.00 due to all it problems and if given the opportunity i would opt for a full refund, but hey, ill leave the decision to you.

Decent RAM, but XMP problems

CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin PC RAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B
CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin PC RAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B

Pros: -Works, no need to RMA

Cons: -The XMP profile causes my computer to crash. Have to resort to 1333 mode to not crash my computer -Price almost doubled since I bought it, was really considering buying another stick for more RAM despite XMP issue
