Wow, so many bad reviews

G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1000 (PC2 8000) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1000 (PC2 8000) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ

Pros: I wasnt gonna write a review, until I seen the BAD reviews for it. I just want to clarify things, they run DDR2-800 for voltage reasons. But if your settings are correct these can run 1000mhz all day. I run my 2x2 set @ 1120mhz 24/7 running SETI@HOME. @ 1120 it passes memtest time after time.

Cons: It is confusing that they are recognized as DDR2-800, but if they were 1000 sticks, the voltage required to boot would mess up alot of motherboards, and cause alot of issues for beginners. They played if safe and I think it was a great idea, now after a failed overclock I dont have to look for a stick of 667 to get the machine back up.

Overall Review: This is great quality memory, its no D9 microns, but to get a stable 1120 for the price, who is gonna complain. My timings are 4-5-4-12 35 with 2.08v bios(2.12 actual). my comp - RAMPAGE FORMULA, Q6600@ 3.8Ghz, Gskill DDR2 @ 1120, 2 x sapphire 3870's voltmodded running 975/1350, 2x raptor(raid 0), 3TB raid array.

Most Critical Review

EH, its ok

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 - Core 2 Quad Kentsfield Quad-Core 2.66 GHz LGA 775 95W Processor - BX80562Q6700
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 - Core 2 Quad Kentsfield Quad-Core 2.66 GHz LGA 775 95W Processor - BX80562Q6700

Pros: Its a quad core, great proc if you do not over clock

Cons: I bought this when the price dropped to replace my q6600. Stupid move, I returned this. With my q6600, Im running 3.8 Ghz with 1.45 volts 24/7. I thought, cool, I could run a 10 multi with 400 FSB and run a stable 4Ghz all day, YAH RIGHT. This proc was stable at 3.6, but if I brought it to 3.8, it would get shaky, it took 1.52v to stabilize @ 3.8. I could boot 4, but it would fail with glorious blue screens even before windows loaded. No matter the voltage

Overall Review: If your gonna get a quad core proc, and your considering this, or a 45nm proc, scratch both and get a q6600 with aftermarket cooling. For roughly two fifty you could get a q6600 running 3.6ghz easily, keep the temps under control and be flying!

Overall Quality

GIGABYTE GZ-FA2CA-AJB Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case
GIGABYTE GZ-FA2CA-AJB Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Owned this case for about 6 months now. Overall great quality, and it has stood the test of time. This case has seen dual videocards, water cooled CPU,2xGPU,NB&SB has been in here, along with many harddrives. Very large and easy to work in. The Hard drives facing the way they do makes routing cables easier, and giving more room around the board for multiple GPU's.

Cons: They could have gave me 1/2" more room in the case near the bottom of the mobo. Running 3 280's on ex58 extreme will fit, but give me less than 1 mm of room between the gpu and the bottom, airflow suffers.

Overall Review: I was able to make some fan mods that really helped air flow, and I used available 5.25" slots to add more HDs. check it out... ever used googlepages?? to get to a google page you have to use the users name - mine is asb2106, then dot, then googlepages, then dot, then com. Figure it out and you can see my case :) Not an amazing build, but the i7 is coming soon, pics will be there! Ill be putting the i7 in this case with the current water setup(plus modifications). Ill be going for 4.3Ghz on a 920. And ofcoarse, buying all the parts from NEWEGG!!

Sometimes people suprise me

ZOTAC GeForce 9800 GT 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card ZT-98GES3P-FSR
ZOTAC GeForce 9800 GT 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card ZT-98GES3P-FSR

Pros: Single slot design (Also Con), FAST card, great price. CUDA device, runs roughly 5k a day for me at GPUGRID. Thats huge credit/dollar :) Make sure you do research for yourself, and not base your desicion on the reviews of others - all computer purchases should be done carefully. Newegg makes the whole process so easy they forget to research there parts sometimes! By doing this you will know HOW MUCH POWER YOUR VIDEO CARD NEEDS! come on! That should not be a CON because you cant do your own research. For the price and performance this deserves a 5/5 all day. This is a FAST FAST FAST card for the price.

Cons: The single slot design does limit the cooling efficiency of the card, but with alittle work its ok. I just installed R*I*V*Atuner(free) to change when the fan kicks in on the card. It never heats over 60C, which is perfectly fine for GPUs under 24/7 use.

Overall Review: You cannot always trust what you read, immortal-D, adjust fan speeds, your fine. And come-on! anyone knows when your buying a decent graphics card these days they are going to need power. and this is MINIMAL compared to my others. I have this on a 450 Thermal take, running strong with multiple drives and fans. EASY. My GTX280's in other rigs need 4 times as much power, and a 750 holds them up fine. (all PC power cooling PSU's btw) - check me out at GPUGRID, cant miss me, same handle (nickname) :)

One of very few bad ratings by me

Seagate Momentus 5400.3 ST9160821A 160GB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache IDE Ultra ATA100 / ATA-6 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive
Seagate Momentus 5400.3 ST9160821A 160GB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache IDE Ultra ATA100 / ATA-6 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: This hard drive came pre-installed on 8 Gateway computers that I purchased.

Cons: Out of the 8 HD's I started with, 4 of them are dead now. I pruchased the laptops 8 months ago and over the last 2 months I have had my guys sending them in because of HD failure. I am replacing them with WD HD's and there are never complaints.

Overall Review: I have always been a western digital person, but I never had anything against other companies, until now. A 50% failure rate of OEM HD's sent to a manufacturer does not sit well in my stomach. They need to step up quality control, as this has cost our company lots of important DATA! And thats NOT GOOD. Sorry Seagate, but I will never buy another harddrive of yours - MAN, and I hate when people say stuff like that :( This is really a serious issue though, I have to go with parts that can handle the daily usage of a laptop.

ASUS Radeon HD 3870 X2 1GB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card EAH3870X2/G/3DHTI/1G
ASUS Radeon HD 3870 X2 1GB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card EAH3870X2/G/3DHTI/1G

Pros: I have installed this card in 2 computers for clients, both worked flawlessly after understanding the real problem.

Cons: There isnt really any

Overall Review: bluemoonffl says that this card causes the computer to restart, for a "high" tech level I think you need to start readin up. Your computer is restarting because the 12v rails on your powersupply cannot keep up with the demand of the card. Try unpluggin HD's and DVDrw's to free up some power and the issue will go away. It doesnt matter if you have a 8000watt power supply, if the current on the 12v rails is not high enough your computer will restart - its a fail safe. So before you discredit the card, do your research and fix the real problem. This card has 2 GPUs, 2 fans, 2 of everything, it needs alot of power. I wish newegg users would submit with the REAL tech level. Everyone here is an expert, and that just causes confusion for so many that are not. For the inexperienced that are shopping here - I am sorry on behalf of all the "high" tech's that dont really know.
