This review is from: CORSAIR CX Series CX600 600W 80 PLUS BRONZE Active PFC ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply
Pros: Works. 80+ Bronze. Trusted brand.
Cons: Essentially none.
The product is not modular, and all the cons of a non-modular powersupply hold true with the CX600 so there is nothing to hold against this product. Definitely make sure the case has enough room to store away the extra cables.
Other Thoughts: As general PC performance isn't affected by the PSU, budget builders tend to try to avoid spending too much on the power supply. However, everyone knows to not skimp on the quality either. The Corsair CX600 and the CX family finds the right balance between reasonable price and reliability. It plainly just works. Hassle free, does what you need it to do.
When on promotion, this power supply is a no brainer. When not on promotion, some competing brands might be more intriguing. Never settle for low rating PSU's. Your parts just aren't worth the risk.
Corsair is also quite a reputable brand, and their reputation is justified by the quality of their products.
This review is from: ASUS Z97-A LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Works with no problems. Has many of the features ASUS intends as "essential" for all motherboards.
Other Thoughts: This was my first motherboard for my first build. I paired it with a 4790K, and everything runs flawlessly. The design is rather non-intrusive compared to other "colorful" mobo's, so long as one likes the goldish-metalic design.
I hear many horror stories with DOA's in the motherboard department. Thankfully I had no issues.
The board comes with all the features I need, and then some. Unless one finds it necessary to have the extra features of the more expensive models in this line of boards, this board will completely satisfy. Definitely recommend.
Pros: Gorgeous bright blue, fans work as intended.
Cons: Slightly noisier than more expensive fans.
Other Thoughts: I got this pair of fans while they were on promotion. Totalled around $6 after rebate, which was an unbeatable deal. Definitely would recommend to those looking for fans for purely cosmetics, but only when they are on promotion. For performance fans, there are better options.READ FULL REVIEW
