TomTom XL 340S 4.3" gps navigation with IQ Routes Technology
TomTom XL 340S 4.3" gps navigation with IQ Routes Technology

Pros: Hats off to their superb tech support. I phoned 3 times on different issues, mounting options etc., (none of these issues was related to the function of the unit itself.) The longest I had to wait for a tech was about a minute. Each tech was friendly articulate and knowledgeable. Now to the functioning of the unit itself. The initial linking to satellite was rather slow, but thereafter it was extremely fast. And the connection remained in spite of trees heavy clouds etc. I live in an area where the shortest route to the Long Island Expressway and Northern State Parkway is far from the fastest. You have to go through shopping areas and traffic lights. Us locals know the short cut. With my previous GPS I ignored its directions until I got to the Expressway using my own knowledge of the area. Once I got to the Expressway I let the unit take over. This Tomtom took me through the same route that I would have taken to the Expressway. Amazing!

Cons: I mounted my prvious Garmin GPS using a bean bag device made by Garmin. The unit is securely locked in place to the bean bag unit without suction, and the beanbag remains securely resting on my dashboard. I never trusted suction cup units, always expecting the device to fall off and land in my lap. I bought a brackton dashboard mount for this unit, and while the unit seems to lock securely into place, it is done via a suction device, which I don't trust. My unfounded prejudice? Maybe.

Overall Review: I bought this on sale for $179 (afeter an additional $10.00 off when I bought it with the Brackton mount). It is an amazing unit. Very sensitive and the IQ technology really works.

Adobe Premiere Elements 9 English
Adobe Premiere Elements 9 English

Pros: I played around with Adobe Premiere Essentials with footage from my panasonic HDC-TM900K camcorder shooting at 60p. Adding titles and transitions and other editing are a breeze. I love this program. Setting up the burn process for blu ray is also very easy with very clear menu selections. I've been using the trial version for about 3 weeks and just ordered the full version

Cons: The Timeline shows some empty boxes, although when you move the pointer over them it shows the video content. Not a big negative and I plan to phone Adobe support. But even with this the positives far outweigh the negatives.

Overall Review: Some people seem to experience various glitches with the program. I've not had any of the problems mentioned. The program runs fast and smoothly. My computer processor is a core i7 with 9 GB of ram, Windows 7 64 bit and a decent video card. That may be the difference.

Easy to use and works great

SONY Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11
SONY Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11

Pros: I burned my first two Blu Rays without any problems. I had some prior doubts as I shot the video in 60P on my panasonic HDC-M900, and didn't know how well the software would be able to handle this; but the whole process was very easy and without a hitch, thanks largely to the "show me how" feature which leads you by the hand through each step. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit with 9 GB ram. NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250

Cons: None so far

Overall Review: Always a good idea to run the program after a fresh re-boot.

Excellent sound quality, easy to use

AT&T CL82409 1.9 GHz Digital DECT 6.0 4X Handsets Cordless Phone Integrated Answering Machine
AT&T CL82409 1.9 GHz Digital DECT 6.0 4X Handsets Cordless Phone Integrated Answering Machine

Pros: Very easy to program with the excellent and clearly written manual. I love being able to program any one of the sets with phone numbers etc, and having them appear on all the handsets, while also being able to program Ringer tone and loudness and on/off on each individual handset without affecting the settings on the others. Very handy when someone is sleeping on room, but you want to hear the phone in the other(s) This is my second AT&T phone. My first was 5.8 ghz which was problem free and had great sound. I wanted to upgrade to a DECT 6 phone with extra handsets and additional features. I was considering a Panasonic DECT 6 as my son owns one and is very pleased with it. I chose the AT&T because of problems I had with an older Panasonic's caller ID feature which only worked sporadically and which Panasonic tech support could not help me with.

Cons: The display is in black & white (I believe other phones have a color display), but what the h--l, this is a phone and not a TV.

my 3rd one. All work great

Galaxy METAL GEAR Metal Gear Box II 3506UC-Black 3.5" Black IDE USB 2.0 External Enclosure
Galaxy METAL GEAR Metal Gear Box II 3506UC-Black 3.5" Black IDE USB 2.0 External Enclosure

Pros: I erased some graphic files I later decided I shouldn't have. Fortunately I also had these files on an old hard drive that I had removed from an old computer. Gear Box II to the rescue. Easy installation, immediately recognized by Vista and I had the files back.

Cons: None I'm aware of.

Overall Review: Does what it's supposed with ease.

Installed easily and workes well
