So far, so good
Pros: Excellent for a PCI card. Brings some life back to computers with older motherboards. A lot quieter than the VisionTek X1300 PCI it replaced. That one had a very loud fan when in 3D mode, even on Google Earth.
Cons: One little nagging problem: I use my PC to play movies on my projector TV. I turn on the TV, and then when I try to switch to independent desktops, it doesn't have that option. Only single or clone. I must reboot the computer with the TV turned on in order to have the independent dual display option.
Overall Review: One other little thing that I don't consider negative enough to add to the cons: I wish it came with a DVI->HDMI adapter.
Noise?
Pros: Not yet. Will edit this after using the camera a few times.
Cons: Not yet Will edit this after using the camera a few times.
Overall Review: Quick question. Just received my camera from Newegg. Haven't had time to use it yet since I'm in the office and my lenses are at home. When I took the camera out of the box it feels solid. But when I shake it, it sounds like there is something lose in there. Is that normal? And no, it is not the mirror. Sounds smaller. Like a small screw or small piece of plastic or something.
Pros: Good size, quiet, so far reliable.
Cons: Heat sink gets hot. If you have pets or kids, make sure to put it in a hard to reach location. The LED light is far too bright. Every time it flashes, it looks like someone is taking pictures in my room. I had to cover it with electrical tape.
Pros: Fast delivery, easy setup, does a good job of cleaning the dishes. Since I hate cleaning dishes, this is a great investment. No more hiding dirty dishes in the oven when guests come over ;-)
Cons: The first time you run it, make sure to stand by the machine and check to make sure the rubber seals are sitting correctly in the hose attachments. Mine started to leak once the first draining cycle started. I stopped the machine, re-adjusted the hose, and everything has been fine since.
Overall Review: Two little things I wasn't too crazy about, neither one regarding the manufacturer. 1 - Machine arrived badly dented. It works just fine, but there are some big dents on the metal top and along the edge where the top meets the back of the machine. 2 - FedEx doesn't even bother ringing the bell. They just leave the box outside the building for you to find. I stayed home and nobody rang the bell. Stepped outside to get a coffee next door, and saw my box out on the curb getting rained on. Maybe in a rural environment wouldn't be such a big deal. But you never leave anything on the sidewalks of Brooklyn that you don't want to get stolen. And I had to drag the heavy soaking wet box in by myself. I contacted FedEx about it, and they sent me the canned response that their deliveries are left in the building's mail room. It is an old brownstone townhouse, not a building with a mail room.
Going strong
Pros: Greatly improved the response of my little Asus EeePC 900HA. One year on and no problems to report.
Cons: Nothing
Its all up to your CPU & BUS speed.
Pros: Still working fine
Cons: Video card more than maxes the speed of the PCI BUS it is attached to.
Overall Review: After using this card for a while, I realized that although it runs great, but the computer still couldn't play Blu-Ray videos. Neither the CPU nor the PCI BUS were fast enough. I ended-up upgrading to a more powerful computer.
