Update post

Pros: Added a 2nd 6950 and the 2 scale very well together. I had to enable Vsync to stop screen tearing because I'm getting like 130fps... @1920X1080 resolutions! Probably wouldn't be so bad if my refresh rate wasn't at 60hz. W/Vsync the frames are locked in about 73fps which is bearable as far as the screen tearing is concerned.
Cons: none
Overall Review: registered the new card and XFX said download "Total War: Dirt 3" (??) Initially I thought I would receive a code for Shogun 2 but this isn't the case. Maybe a typo?
Flimsy

Pros: Great case for a parent that's uses the computer for "web-surfing" or playing pong.
Cons: Very flimsy, be careful installing components. Some sharp edges as well so watch the wires. Had re-route the HDD/PWR led wires to get them to reach the pins on the board.
Overall Review: It works...
Crucial MX100 512GB

Pros: Well rounded and affordable 512GB SSD. Price/Performance winner... Cloning process from 240GB OCZ Vertex 3 was fast and painless thanks to the Acronis 2014 software included. The MX100 feels much smoother in Windows being random read/write iops are much better vs the Sandforce 2281 based OCZ drive. Previously with the Vertex 3 @ 40% full it scored 710 in AS SSD vs the 1036 of the MX100. Much of the difference is 4K. People need to ignore sequential R/W's and pay more attention to 4K incompressible scores... this is what makes the Windows environment much smoother and responsive.
Cons: Crucial still has yet to release software for their drives esp. for reading their proprietary SMART attributes.
Overall Review: Software isn't that big of a deal as long as TRIM is enabled and hibernation is off in Windows. Good idea to disable Superfetch in Services as well. Pagefile, Indexing and Search are all preference and I opt to keep them running...
Y500

Pros: Very capable gamer/multimedia laptop. I added a 120GB Intel 525 mSATA and was gonna add in some ADATA XPG Gaming Series 8GB 1.35v 1600MHz RAM AXDS1600GC4G9-2 but never got around to it being I traded it away. The speakers put out the sound! The GT 650m's had an ASIC of 84/86%. This is good = faster speeds, lower voltage = cooler and quieter.
Cons: Touchpad had tracking issues sometimes.
Overall Review: Note to adding RAM to laptops. Most laptops come with proprietary bios so there are no settings for DRAM, just note if you want to run 1600MHz + speeds be sure to get memory that is tested at stated speeds @ 1.35v. Or the bios will default to 1333MHz.
Corsair Air 540

Pros: Excellent for cable management. I really like the way the PSU is hidden...
Cons: Plasticky... (is that even a word?)
Overall Review: Needs more 3.5" bays. Seriously...
3570K

Pros: Build comps for family and friends and this CPU has been used in numerous machines. Price/performance is awesome... beats AMD's offerings.
Cons: Z77 boards are slim pickings and Ivy Bridge + tend to run hot. Keep this in mind.
Overall Review: Why Intel moved away from solder is beyond me.
