This review is from: Seagate 1TB Expansion Portable External Hard Drive USB 3.0 Model STBX1000101 Black
Pros: Its nice for an external drive, its fast, its stable. It looks good, has a blue led so you know it powers on. Quiet. What more can you really ask for? I have several external drives, and this one is a fine model.
Cons: None I can think of.
Other Thoughts: I have had good luck with this unit, no negatives to report after a year, still stable, haven't lost anything.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: This is a nice machine. For the price I'm not sure how you could go wrong. If you have a preferred account with newegg the 1 year free interest is very nice. The machine itself is a very slick build. Keyboard is nice. I am getting a cordless mouse, but really the touchpad for a touchpad is actually pretty good. I just like a mouse for gaming. This machine is great for gaming. It does get hot on the side the heat exhaust out. However they were thinking to have it exhaust out the side and not the bottom. I have another laptop that dedicated video exhaust out the bottom... ok if you are using a cooler...if not, well...... yeah. Anyways its a very solid feeling, good looking machine. Impressed with the whole machine really.
Cons: Windows 8, however can't really take to seriously because I knew it was on the machine. However would like 7 better but really not a con sort of. 500 GB Hd, also not a real con because it in the listing, I'm only saying for the specs of hardware and power of this machine, a bigger drive would have been nice. 500 is borderline for a gaming laptop. Some wouldn't call this a gaming machine, but really it kind of is. Its a very nice machine, don't let those things keep you from buying it. Only realize you may want to upgrade to a larger drive at some point. Also well windows 8 is what Microsoft is pushing out the door, so really I guess its like it or put a new OS on the machine. I'm just going to keep it and try to get used to it. I don't like parts of it. It seems like they wanted to cross Linux with and Android phone OS and took out what makes Linux nice lol.
Other Thoughts: Don't let anything in my negatives keep you from getting this machine. It is a very nice machine. Acer seemed to really pack a lot of quality for the price. I like it very much. I think for the price if you can deal with windows 8 or want to install a different OS its a lot of bang for the buck. I highly recommend.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Rosewill FBM-01- Dual-Fan MicroATX Mini Tower Computer Case
Pros: Looks Sleek, Spacious width if you want an aftermarket CPU fan. Good Quality material, doesn't feel cheap. No Sharp edges that cut me. Great quality to price ration in my opinion. Nice big space at bottom for a good sized GPU, I have a GeForce 550ti which isn't huge but its bigger than average.
Cons: might not be a con to everyone, and after all it is micro atx so... but anyways after putting my aftermarket cpu cooler on, I can't remember what it called but zallman makes it and it had fins that look like a butterfly and its pretty tall. but anyways I can't take my hard drive out now, I will have to take off my cooler firs it I want to take it out or add a new one. Not a big deal and the case is Micro so not really a con, but if you have a big cooler you might want this info. I think they did this so you can put a bigger GPU in it. Under the hd bays is open and a fan that blows to back of case and you could get a pretty big GPU there, I have a GeForce 550 ti, it fits easily.
Other Thoughts: I would buy this case again. I'd probably just use stock fan cooler next time if I wanted to swap hd out easily,or a low profile fan, but really who ever swaps out a hd that much anyways? Its only a problem for me because I was going to add a hd later and now after mounting my fan, I don't want to take it off, so I'll just buy a external hd, no big deal, and really not a deal breaker on case. Id buy another of this case in a heartbeat, id just plan my build a little better. I just had the cpu cooler and hated not to use it as it cost about 60 bucks when I bought it and it does way better than a stock cooler.READ FULL REVIEW
