Seagate Samsung Spinpoint M8 ST500LM012 (HN-M500MBB/EX2) 500GB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Well, it's a hard drive that i got for a laptop repair. It was a easy replacement and fit perfectly (I knew it would prior, but still. Glad it worked). I put it in, re-installed the OS and it worked like a charm.

Cons: The price. I could of probably gotten a better hard drive for the same price, but because it was a repair, I wanted to get the exact part for reassuring reasons.

Overall Review: This isn't a very helpful review, and I apologize. I only actually worked with the hard-drive for a day, but it's been several months and I haven't heard any complaints from my client. So all is good.

It's thermal grease.

MASSCOOL Fanner-420 Thermal Grease
MASSCOOL Fanner-420 Thermal Grease

Pros: It's thermal grease, it's great, comes in a little syringe, easy to apply. It helps keep my CPU cool. and that's cool.

Cons: It's greasy. But what do you expect?

Overall Review: Of course, if you're building a computer, you need thermal grease, just in case the heat-sink you got for your CPU doesn't have it applied prior. So this is a more or less a necessity.

Still loving it after two years

Microsoft JR9-00011 Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows
Microsoft JR9-00011 Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows

Pros: I bought this about two years ago when I built my gaming PC, and I've had no complaints about it. If your running windows 7, you're going to have to install the drivers, but running windows 8, 8.1, or 10, the drivers are pre-installed with the OS and will load right away. You can connect any and all Xbox 360 wireless controllers with this receiver, making it so if your migrating from a Xbox gamer to being a PC Gamer, you can also migrate your controllers. This works great for LAN parties (Since there are some great games like Goat Simulator that support LAN play, as well as Sonic All Stars Racing that also supports LAN play), and for most games. Almost all triple A titled games support Xbox 360 controller input, so you can just plug it in and go. If you think you'll miss the feel of a console you will be mistaken, since this allows you to play all your favorite games as if you were still playing an Xbox. Another amazing thing is the range of this receiver. I live in a 2 story house with a basement, and my bed room and my desktop are on two opposite corners of the house, my desktop in the basement and my room on the 2nd floor. I have had this hooked up to my desktop while I streamed the video to a laptop, so I could play all my desktop games on my laptop, without any input lag. \ After 2 years of heavy use and travel, The only problem I've had is the cable broken, and it's only operational when put in a certain position. I'd say this is more of a pro, only because I've taken this thing on many vacations as well as when I traveled, so it's always hung from the cord (I knew then that it was bad, and I still know it is, but in those cases i didn't really have many places to put the receiver). This thing is definitely durable as hell.

Cons: This is more or less my fault, but more recently, the cable has become broken on the inside, so when the cable is in a certain position, the device disconnects. Again, i've used this for over 2 years, and i've taken it with me on vacation and on trips. It's been through a beating and lasted me a long time.

Overall Review: I highly recommend everyone buy this, especially if your used to a controller when it comes to gaming.

Reliable

WD Blue 500GB Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6 Gb/s 16MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD5000AAKX
WD Blue 500GB Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6 Gb/s 16MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD5000AAKX

Pros: I've been using this drive for over two years, and i'm still using it today. It runs just as good as it did when I bought it. I also love the speed at which the drive transfers, with 6Gb/s, it reduces load times in games significantly.

Cons: If your planning on gaming in the future, get a hard drive with a bit more cache, just to keep things smoothly running.

Overall Review: I recommend getting a one to two terabyte hard drive, since you can get a Western Digital one for around the same price as this one. You may have to sacrifice speed and cache size, but the larger storage is definitely worth it. (In many cases, it's actually and upgrade in which you Don't have to sacrifice anything)

Lasted 2 years, still going.

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL

Pros: I have had no problems with my G.Skills RAM yet, I've been rocking a total of 12GB RAM in my system, 8 of which coming from this pair. I've owned these sticks for over two years, and have had no problems with them at all. This RAM is very, very reliable and very well made.

Cons: I can't find a use for 12GB of RAM...

Overall Review: If your building a Gaming or CAD PC, I highly recommend these. Weather it's for yourself or a customer, these will provide with reliable RAM while still allowing for another pair to be installed with them, so if you wish to add more in the future, you can.

Good for casual Gaming, better for CAD

AMD FirePro V4900 100-505844 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 Graphics Card
AMD FirePro V4900 100-505844 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 Graphics Card

Pros: It's been a while since I have used this card since I have upgraded to a GTX 650 then a GTX 960 just recently. Keep in mind this is a workstation GPU, not made for gaming. For only $60 more you could get yourself a GTX 960, so keep that in mind. This is a low end CAD card, best for low poly models and low resolution textures. I would recommend this only if you're an entry level CAD user who's on a budget. If you're planning on making high detailed models, save your money and don't cheap out. Remember, this is not for gaming. My Dad had made that mistake before in which he bought this for me thinking it was good for Gaming when it was not. (I apologize for not being very helpful. I haven't used this card in almost 2 years, so my memory of it was vague)

Cons: For the most part, the only CON i could think of is that it runs with only 1GB of vRAM, this card could really benefit from 2GB.
