Pros: Easy Set up w Comcast.
Cons: As others state. It's a furnace
Other Thoughts: Actually got this modem almost new from a friend who went DSL. Had Comcast add to account. Working. Easy. Modem is light & plastic. Sides of modem hot to touch when being taxed w heavy use. WHAT I DID.
Layer modem on side with small piece of plastic to lift it up an inch. Then used box fan directed air to bottom vents. Now hot air pours out of top. Modem is cool as cucumber. NG, must have used cheap heatsink. It's ridiculous. I hope someone takes a dead one apart some day. Would like to see what heatsink NG used?
Pros: Looks nice
Other Thoughts: Thought I would upgrade SD card for phone. I was using an Adata class 10. It was about a yr old. I used an android app to compare the speeds. Its called A1 SD benchmark. The Adata was 44.56 read and 13 write. This card is 39 read and 8.32 write. This test was done using the long option(1GB). I know both cards are same class. But, I really thought the Lexar would be faster. WRONG. Highly dissapointedREAD FULL REVIEW
This review is from: IOGEAR GFR204SD 10-in-1 USB 2.0 SD/ MicroSD/ MMC Card Reader/ Writer (Green/ Gray)
Pros: Small, affordable, just works
Other Thoughts: I've owned this reader for about 3 yrs. Granted, I generally only use it when I have purchased a new phone or friend has borrowed for same reason..
It's probably been used 12-15 times.
It's served its purpose and I've never had an issue. So, I'm a little confused by some negative reviews. Maybe a bad batch? Then again. I do not leave it connected full time like some. If you want a reader for full time use.
Might be better to buy internal.
