Good power saving monitor
Pros: Just purchased 2 units, both are working fine. This Acer monitor (V223W EJbd, ET.EV3WP.E03) is rated at 21 watts. This is half of a previous version's (V223W bd, ET.EV3WP.001) rating of 45 watts. I can't see any reduction in brightness from the lower wattage unit. I will be able to operate 2 of these units for the same power consumption as the earlier version.
Cons: I can't buy this monitor with pivot and pan. I use these monitors in the portrait orientation and I have to hunt down my own stands. (really a product improvement and not a con)
Overall Review: I have owned 2 earlier versions for over 2 years and am satisfied with their operation. You can review the specifications for any Acer monitor at the USA Acer web site.
Good product, Good price
Pros: The cartridges work correctly and the ink color is satisfactory.
Cons: minor issues with cartridge instructions.
Overall Review: I have purchased and used more than 20 LD cartridges since 2015. All have worked and produced acceptable printing. At the present time I am only purchasing and using LD brand cartridges.
Reduce noise - upgrade firmware
Pros: The firmware upgrade process is straight forward and not complicated. Brother provides good instructions. If you connect to the printer through the built in web server, there is a solutions button that will go to the Brother site. Look for the firmware documents.
Cons: none
Overall Review: I filed this second review to alert owners that firmware updates are available and will reduce the noise during printing. I have updated my printer from C level to L level.
Added 6 ethernet ports to a PC
Pros: The software driver only needs to be installed once and when each new unit is plugged in a new instance is created in the registry. These units have worked flawlessly for my application.
Cons: If you want to fully remove each unit from the registry, you must have the exact unit plugged into the PC during your uninstall process. However, I suspect this would be required when uninstalling any USB ethernet adapter.
Overall Review: I have purchased 14 of these units. My application required 6 additional ethernet ports per desktop PC. I added a 5 USB port PCI card to run 4 of the units. The other 2 units plugged into existing USB ports. All units work the same and no operational problems have occurred.
