Solid Monitor for the price

Gateway KX2703bd Black 27" 6ms Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 100,000,000:1
Gateway KX2703bd Black 27" 6ms Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 100,000,000:1

Pros: BRIGHT! That may be a con to some, but I adjusted the brightness down to a comfortable level and it's nice knowing just how blindingly bright it can get. I appreciate the fact that it doesn't have an external power brick even if it does make for a slightly thicker screen, and a little research indicates it is using a LG VA panel - which is a nice compromise between TN and IPS.

Cons: I'm not sure how you're supposed to wrestle it out of the box without destroying the styrofoam packaging. 6ms is a bit slow of a response time these days.

Overall Review: I'm coming from a 5 year old 22" 1680x1050 monitor so this was a huge jump in all areas. I wish it included a HDMI connector, but for the size and price range I can certainly work with DVI. For the work I'm doing/games I'm playing the response time is just fine and I'm quite happy with the purchase so far.

Not worth dealing with Gigabyte RMA

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card GV-R795WF3-3GD
GIGABYTE Radeon HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card GV-R795WF3-3GD

Pros: The card itself was excellent when it worked. I found the Gigabyte cooler to be a very nice design that kept the card cool while also being pretty quiet. I didn't bother trying to tweak or OC anything since I'm only playing at 1680x1050 so I left things stock and was thrilled! Everything was going swimmingly until I started getting artifacts on the screen and sent it in for a RMA.

Cons: A full month after receiving the card I get an email from Gigabyte saying they can't repair it, but they'll offer me a R9 280X as a replacement. I'm fine with that and replied to their email saying as much. I don't hear anything for a week so I called them and apparently they're out of the replacement card they offered me. And they're out of the 7950. It'll be 2-4 weeks waiting time and then they'll send me a 7950. So after offering me an upgraded card they don't even have they rescinded their offer and I still have to wait quite a bit more. This was the first piece of Gigabyte tech I've purchased and while I really enjoyed it while it worked it will be the last after this tech support experience. I know they took some time off for the holidays and that the ATI cards are in short supply due to mining but I'm really missing my card, and I'm really annoyed that they offered me a newer card only to withdraw that offer and let me know there would be additional delays.

Still better than decent after 4 years

Logitech G500 10 Buttons Dual-mode Scroll Wheel USB Wired Laser Gaming Mouse
Logitech G500 10 Buttons Dual-mode Scroll Wheel USB Wired Laser Gaming Mouse

Pros: The mouse itself has held up quite well. I actually use it with the heaviest weights and I really like the feel of it in my hand. It is easy to clean and very rarely do I have click issues.

Cons: The braided cord was a disappointment. This may be unique to my setup but the cord travels over the sharp edge of a keyboard tray and the braided cover has worn through in probably an 8" section. This hasn't changed the performance at all, but it looks lousy. I occasionally run into an issue with the left click which seems to be a known issue with this mouse. Usually a few firm clicks sort that out and I'm good for awhile again.

Overall Review: It's a heck of a mouse. I got it for $70 and it has been worth every dollar of that since. I wonder if they'd warranty it for the cord issue ;)

Exactly as described

Enzotech MOS-C1 C1100 Forged Copper Heatsinks only
Enzotech MOS-C1 C1100 Forged Copper Heatsinks only

Pros: There were 10 in the package and I only needed 8 and they provided several extra adhesive squares.

Cons: They are a bit expensive, but copper isn't cheap! The adhesive isn't terribly strong initially but once it sets these hold pretty well.

Excellent Value

AMD Phenom II X6 1055T - Phenom II X6 Thuban 6-Core 2.8 GHz Socket AM3 125W Desktop Processor - HDT55TFBGRBOX

Pros: I've had mine since May 2010 and I only just decided to try some OCing. Got to 3.5 stable no problems and still runs very cool. Has run very well and just plain eats whatever I throw at it.

Cons: Wish it was a BE, but we can't have it all :)

Overall Review: Excellent Processor for the price and the performance. As these continue to come down I may have to seriously consider one of the 1090s but for the time being this is a very sweet little processor. 7.4 in Windows 7 @ base speed and 7.6 OCd to 3.5

Great buying experience

We already use a few of these laptops around the office and decided to get an addition one based on value. The laptop shipped in like new condition, was well packaged, and is fully functional. We may decided to get more of these if we need additional equipment, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Notebook Avenue again.
