Running 3 of this in a software RAID5 setup

WD Red Plus 3TB NAS Hard Disk Drive - 5400 RPM Class SATA 6Gb/s, CMR, 64MB Cache, 3.5 Inch - WD30EFRX
WD Red Plus 3TB NAS Hard Disk Drive - 5400 RPM Class SATA 6Gb/s, CMR, 64MB Cache, 3.5 Inch - WD30EFRX

Pros: I purchased 3 of these to run under linux via mdadm in a RAID5 setup. Performance is as expected and no complaints about the drives.

Cons: 1 was DOA upon delivery and had to be RMA'd for a replacement. Docking an egg for that.

Most Critical Review

Either I got a lemon or I've configured it wrong or the gigabit switch doesn't work

D-Link Xtreme-N Duo Wireless Bridge/Access Point (DAP-1522) Wireless N300, Dual-Band, Fast Ethernet
D-Link Xtreme-N Duo Wireless Bridge/Access Point (DAP-1522) Wireless N300, Dual-Band, Fast Ethernet

Pros: As a bridge it allows all my wired devices to talk to my router in the back room.

Cons: The gigabit switch sucks.

Overall Review: I paired this with a DLINK DIR-825 Wireless router. I'm posting the exact same review I posted for that one because I have the exact same issue with both devices. Like I said in my title, either I got a lemon or I've configured it wrong or the gigabit switch doesn't work. I can plug multiple devices up to it no problem but the moment I try to do any LAN traffic the speeds are horrible to non-existent. What I've done is taken an old dedicated switch laying around and plugged it into the bridge and then I've plugged all my devices into the switch. That's the only way to get ANY kind of LAN speed. So far I've been unable to get the switch embedded into the device to work and have to use an external switch. I considered returning this and the DIR 825 for a refund and trying a linksys wireless router/bridge combo but to be honest the reviews for their N speed/gigabit routers/switches/bridges aren't much better so I'll probably just get a generic gigabit switch and be done with it

Good headphones

Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset
Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset

Pros: Good solid headphones that won't break the bank. Integrated microphone works well. No one's complained about not being able to hear me yet.

Cons: Be prepared for everyone around you to be aware of what your listening too. I use these for work and I'm constantly having to turn them down since the guy next to me can hear every song I'm listening to. I guess it's a good thing since it'll preserve my hearing that way. . .

Absolutely perfect for my needs.

Antec ISK 110 VESA Black ABS plastic / 0.8 mm SECC Mini-ITX Desktop Computer Case 90W External Adapter, Up to 92% Efficiency Power Supply
Antec ISK 110 VESA Black ABS plastic / 0.8 mm SECC Mini-ITX Desktop Computer Case 90W External Adapter, Up to 92% Efficiency Power Supply

Pros: I wanted a tiny case for my mini-itx XBMC dedicated front end. I had narrowed my choices to this and an M350 and this won out. The integrated 90w PSU and the (precious) extra few mm of space were the deciding factors. Space is ALWAYS a premium with cases like these and I knew I wanted a 37mm Noctua CPU cooler and an SSD and I was not 100% sure if they would fit the M350 but they fit in this case with zero issues. The 90w PSU is enough for my needs and I have zero regrets about my purchase. Completely satisfied.

Cons: Assembly time was short but a little tricky which is to be expected with a case this small so plan accordingly. There were actually too many included cables with the PSU so I had the majority of them left over and finding a place to route them made cable mgmt a slight challenge.

Overall Review: Do your homework. Look at the layout of this case and look at the layout of your mini-itx mobo to maximize the little bit of space you have. For example you may run into cable length issues trouble if the mobo you have has the 4 pin CPU connector on the opposite side of the case's PSU.

Good HTPC board

ASRock H61MV-ITX LGA 1155 Intel H61 HDMI Mini ITX Intel Motherboard
ASRock H61MV-ITX LGA 1155 Intel H61 HDMI Mini ITX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Solid and inexpensive. Perfect for SFF HTPC. Put this in an Antec ISK-110 and a 35W TDP i3 and haven't looked back. At first I wasn't even going to leave a review but seeing as how 2 of the 3 reviews listed so far are for a different product I thought I'd add my positive experience to the mix. This is my second ASRock mobo. I'd buy from them again.

Cons: None.

Pros: It worked with Linux. That's literally all I cared about. I'm using mine to sync up PS3 controllers using QTSixA

Cons: None.

They must have been slammed during the holidays or something.

I ordered something from them on November 30, 2015. I *thought* the item was in stock (it wasn't) and that shipping/arrival would happen before Christmas. It is now January 12, 2016 and I still have not received my item. I have no idea when it will arrive and the tracking number provided is less than helpful.
