Awesome power supply

CORSAIR HXi Series HX850i 850W 80 PLUS PLATINUM Haswell Ready Full Modular ATX12V & EPS12V SLI and Crossfire Ready Power Supply with C-Link Monitoring and Control
CORSAIR HXi Series HX850i 850W 80 PLUS PLATINUM Haswell Ready Full Modular ATX12V & EPS12V SLI and Crossfire Ready Power Supply with C-Link Monitoring and Control

Pros: Quiet Modular Looks Good Ability to monitor power in and out and all rails in real time without having to hook up additional hardware

Cons: Plugs are too tight and risk breaking hardware trying to plug in. Corsair link software opens with errors. very difficult to navigate and setup. does not display all sensors and displays ones that don't exist.

Overall Review: the power supply was bought to upgrade a 750W in a system that was having intermittent problems that looked like power issues. This supply allowed me to monitor the power drain in real time as i changed hardware and setting until i discovered what the real problem was with the system. i would consider this power supply a good computer diagnostic tool because it allows you to solve a variety of other problems without having to buy extra hardware and equipment while the corsiar link software is really bad it is useable and for my purposes i simple went to the realtime tab and watched everything as i troubleshooted the pc. the physical hardware and function of the power supply looks good and that is why i gave it 5/5. hopefully down the road they with make a better version of corsair link. until then you still have a solid power supply

LEPA N Series N500-SA 500 W ATX12V Non-Modular Power Supply

Pros: cheap quiet solid

Cons: not modular

Overall Review: needed a 12 power source so i bought this. gutted all the wires out and soldered one pair of 10 gauge wires to the pcb. under full load the supply get warm but never hot and the fan is quiet no matter the speed.

it does what i needed

NETGEAR WNCE2001-100NAR Universal Wireless Internet Adapter For Smart TV & Blu-ray IEEE 802.11b/g/n Ethernet Port Up to 300Mbps Wireless Data Rates WPA2 Manufacturer Recertified
NETGEAR WNCE2001-100NAR Universal Wireless Internet Adapter For Smart TV & Blu-ray IEEE 802.11b/g/n Ethernet Port Up to 300Mbps Wireless Data Rates WPA2 Manufacturer Recertified

Pros: easy to setup

Cons: its very simplified and for advanced users thats not always the best. very limited settings WLAN LED turns off after being on for a while. still works fine and the other two are lit but not the wlan. the only way to get it back on is to unplug the power. the WLAN LED indicates the wireless signal strength so unless you checking the strength all the time this wont matter to you

Overall Review: i am not up to date with all the networking terms but i do know how to the do majority of various networking tasks. In my situation when using this it would connect to the router and list itself as a wireless device then it would also list the connected device as a wired device on the router. i ended up not using this but instead using a old netgear router with dd-wrt to do the job. i was able to configure the dd-wrt router to not send connected device information.

works great

Western Digital AV-GP WD10EURX 1TB IntelliPower 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: never had a problem after running for over one year straight being used everyday and routinely defragged very quiet

Cons: none

Overall Review: i didn't know what to expect from a intelliPower hard drive. if the computer idles for a while and i click on something i can tell the drive is revving up and thats why it is not instant but once you get it up to speed it will navigate through directories pretty swiftly. when i say revving up i am just assuming, because this drive never makes a peep or a hum. its that quiet.

good looking case

RAIDMAX Seiran ATX-902WB Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
RAIDMAX Seiran ATX-902WB Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: looks good easy to clean adjustable lights/fans so i can sleep at night

Cons: it was really hard to estimate how everything would fir in here because of the scarce dimensions given. Eventually everything did fit.

Overall Review: i put a Asus Crosshair V Formula in it with a Thermaltake WATER2.0 Pro CPU cooler. with the cooler being pre made and assembled. i cannot take the hoses off and was forced to mount the radiator inside. so by mounting it to the rear exhaust fan cut out, which was my only option, i ran into issues getting some case accessories to fit. i had to take out the large side fan and mount that on the outside of the cage and run the wires in through one of the precut holes. i wasnt able to use all 4 screws to hold the radiator in place because they blocked the side from closing the entire way. i mad some custom cut bolts that work perfectly. after i had the cooler system installed and two full sized graphics card and two pci parallel port cards in place there was not enough room to do proper cable management. Everything was just long enough to go from point A to point B
