Excellent Hard drive
Pros: It's an SSD Great Price It's Kingston
Cons: none at this time
Overall Review: Excellent drive. No matter if you are a gamer or a basic user, I highly recommend this drive. I picked 2 up for a client of mine with 2 systems starting to have failed hard drive problems, simple dell machines running XP for the office, made their system scream with function and life again. Take if from a techie with over 20 years in IT, you will be happy with this drive.
Easy setup but fails over time
Pros: - Quick Setup - Firewall using TrendMicro - Looked Interesting with the design concept of extended range without the big antennas - Owned for 5 months..
Cons: - Quick to having issues such as dropped WiFi connections, Network connection slow down (Started pulling in my full pipe @ 500mb/s and over time I am only getting 120mb/s which I just tested now) - 5ghz starts to fail after about a month. When I connected devices it was fast and great, even was able to put an extender on as my Garage is set up 200ft behind the house and it worked great for a short time until the ASUS started showing SSID's but any device connected failed to stay connected or receive internet even when the WiFi signal says connected (no notice of Connected but no internet indication, etc) - 2.4ghz worked the longest but started noticing drops and issues over time - When using any Voice Software on this router to do VoIP, the entire network becomes slower than a snail sleeping. We tested it as I was on a VoIP call, the others that were watching Video's were buffering on a 500mb/s line and when we went to speedtest.net, the line said we had a 3mb/s connection.... - blinks - ... 3mb/s connection? Yeah... I laughed then screamed some curse words then plugged in my old (wont mention brand) router that gives us issues with connecting our TV but at least we get our 500mb/s and LAN devices connected oh and no slowness with VoIPing.
Overall Review: I tried returning the unit when I first started noticing the issues to see if I just received a failed unit, even order the extended 3 year warranty. When I first noticed these issues and put in a request, it said someone would get back to me. Since I am in the Tech industry, I don't have time to monitor but when I never received an email and checked my account the indication button said I could no longer return the item. - This is a no go for me, I am even a huge Newegg fan with a Personal & Business account so I am not sure who dropped this ball but I am not happy about it - All in all, ASUS makes great Motherboards & their Graphics cards are well enough I never had an issue but this is the 2nd bad router I have had, 2 completely different models over the last 6 years. I wanted to give them a try again to see if things changed. I am sorry to say but they failed again. Be mindful when buying, I would stick with a stronger brand if you want longevity and stability.
Item was great
Pros: Works as required.
Cons: None - see seller review for that review
Overall Review: A++
Works with Ubuntu & other *nix distro's
Pros: Works with Many Distro's of Linux Pulls the full bandwidth of the mSATA drive Probably others but I didn't grab it for anything more than a *nix box I host gaming servers and bots on.
Cons: None so far
Overall Review: I picked this up to use a special MSATA drive I've had a while and it worked perfectly. More importantly it worked with Ubuntu, RedHat/CentOS and Mint Linux. My server is Ubuntu but I previously loaded Mint Linux on the mSATA from another system and it booted right into a new system from the MSATA without any changes. A+++ Highly recommended for any *nix box
Sweet Game... a Bit Repetitive at times but if it was too easy we would all be playing lemmings right?
Pros: Setup was easy. game was pretty easy to setup Graphics are amazing
Cons: Similar game play to other shooters
Overall Review: For those that get the game as a bonus to a Graphics Card... There is a lot of random reviews but here is how you redeem with ease.. Used Firefox to do this: 1. go to www.uplay.com 2. Create an account or login with your current one 3. Go To: https://redeem.geforce.com/en-us/ 4. Enter Your code and your birthday 5. The prompt to get the code needs you to login to uPlay (right click on Login/Register button, Select open in new tab) 6. Login and activate the key 7. go back to the previous tab that states "Connect your accounts" and refresh the page, don't leave it The screen should now show you your login data user name 8. Click continue and fill out the Additional Information Screen then at the bottom click on Redeem 9. Note the Promotion Claimed screen : Successfully redeemed to account: <name> Click on Finish 10. The site took 3 login/logouts to show the game under your games, however the uPlay software was 1 logout and login. Also received an email. Just be mindful that uPlay is not as up to par as steam. Next time you login to steam and run a game it'll also ask you to link other accounts (uPlay, EA, Etc), which you can link uPlay to Steam and sync the game inside steam. Please note even if you purchased the Division Game under steam client you would need to link your accounts of uPlay and Steam. States it in the Steam panel under the Division game on the right. be well and see you in game #C0d3M0nk
Reliable, Fast.. RAID-TASTIC
Pros: Great speed dependable A gamer & programmer smile maker
Cons: They don't come in a 4 pack for a reduced cost.
Overall Review: I grabbed 1 of these and enjoyed the speed, I then grabbed a 2nd and put them in a raid because I wanted a bit more space and well the speed was draw dropping. I've ran the raid for over, run BF3, CS5, Crestron & Visual Studio, and many other applications. With the single drive Photoshop opens in 2 seconds flat. Completely, raided well I blink and it's open so maybe a second? This drive is great, no issues with the amount of abuse I give it, runs great in Raids, highly recommended for anyone looking for a fast drive and long life span.
Seller is in America but a Chinese Drop shipper - DHL Packages guarateed International Shipping
I ordered some Y adapters from NewEgg and using the Filter of Shipping from USA as I needed the items for a job and didn't want to wait a month. plus local vendors didn't have them in stock Comes to find out the Items are not in America (Contacted Newegg about this and they seem to be a lost cause which is sad as I trusted them a lot before this) and it took almost 30 days (28 days exactly). Now I get we're in a Pandemic and things might be slower but I ordered other international items that claim they were international and I got them 2 weeks after order vs this order being a month after. I didn't think the items were custom made to order, know what I am mean? Key notes: - I wouldn't order from them again. - I wish Newegg had a vendor/seller block like other platforms. - Don't expect the order to be delivered on time. - Be careful when you order as their Tracking number means you can't get refunded until item arrives. Doesn't matter how long they take to send it or how long it takes to arrive. I hope this company gets it as I see I'm not the only one having issues.
