Toshiba C55T Notebook, refurbished
Pros: Shipped (as usual) very quickly. Order on the 4 of Sept., arrived on the 8th. If I didn't know it was a refurb, I'd swear it was brand new. Touchscreen is excellent. It comes preloaded with win 8.1. Do the logon things and your done.
Cons: Only one thing and it really isn't a con, more like a peeve even though I read the specs, it is a bit slow. It's not unbearable slow, just a bit slow.
Overall Review: This is def not a gaming laptop, but it sure is a nifty little computer. I have never been wronged with New Egg, it's why I keep coming back!! :)
Coby TFDVD7009
Pros: It's relatively inexpensive. It's portable.
Cons: It's in a dire need of a firmware update as the audio and video are out of sync, which tells me that the codecs are outdated. How do I know? All the discs I've put into it are this way and when put into my old Coby portable, they work just fine. As the Coby website is practically nonexistent, I have no way of updating the problem.
Overall Review: If contemplating this device for any one (including yourself), don't waste your money. Pay a bit more and get one that is up to date and functions properly. I'll not RMA it, as it was only $55 and hardly worth the time and money it would take to do so. I will look into another portable that is not a Coby, however.
IRULU X1s 10.1" quad-core tablet
Pros: So far, this tablet is outstanding. The graphics are very good and the touchscreen is just the right sensitivity. For a tablet, it is very fast and response time is good. I'm a gamer, and all the games that I run are very smooth.
Cons: IRULU does put in a bunch of useless (bloatware) software. The good news is it is uninstallable.
Overall Review: Yes, as with all tech, it has it's issues, but, overall, it is well worth the money.
ASUS M15BC-US003O
Pros: Radeon R7 240 2GB graphics is an awesome card. The audio and video are extremely WOW!! As usual, Newegg shipped very fast. Very quite all around. The dvd burner is very quite and fast. Overall, it really rates 5 eggs, but, for reasons stated in Cons, it only gets a 4.
Cons: The PSU is only 350 watts. ASUS should have put in, at least, a 500 watt. There is only 8 GB of RAM, again, it should have 16 GB at the least.
Overall Review: Overall, it is a fantastic machine for the price. For another $150, it can be upgraded to a crazy fast machine. If you just want one to surf the net and play small games that don't require a bunch of power, this is super fine. It can play games online, but the PSU won't support a heavy load, so don't buy this thinking to get out there and play on high detail.
It's a cable.
Pros: It's an ethernet cable and it does it's job well. Most people these days don't use wired networks, but I still do. I needed a cable that could go through several rooms to get to my desktop and this one still has plenty of cable left over in case I move my computer. Not that color has anything to do with function, but I like the blue.
Cons: None.
Super condition
Pros: Excellent condition on one, and the other only had very incidental scratches on the bottom and a little tiny bubble on the screen that just pushed back in with a thumb nail. These laptops have had an upgrade done in the process of refurbishing. They originally came with a 120 GB HD and 2 GB of ram so you are getting what you pay for and then some. It is a 32 bit win 7 OS, but that is fine for a non-gamer or a FB game player. They (I ordered 2) are excellent laptops and you couldn't do better for the price asked. As usual, for me anyway, Newegg shipping is awesome!!! The laptops came with the battery installed and fully charged too!!! It has wifi and an RJ45 port too. I haven't put them through their paces yet, but I'm sure that they will hold up just fine for daily use. They are, most definitely, built tough.
Cons: Not 1 single con yet.
Overall Review: For those of us on a tight budget that aren't that into gaming, this is one good deal. If you want a laptop that will perform a work load for you, I would highly recommend these.
