Pros: Smart, small, cheap, and very easy to install, this motherboard does what it's advertised to do. I paired it with an AMD 5350, 4 gigs of ram, (corsair) a 250Gig HHD and an AMD HD 7970 Graphics card. (Taken from a now defunct bitcoin mining machine) Rock Solid. Win 7 installed cleanly and the drivers for the board were a cinch to install. The games? With that extra video card in there, you can barely tell the difference between this machine and a computer with a much more expensive CPU! Who needs to spend a boat load of money on a chip when you can spend much less on this board and CPU together! Games Tested: Touhou 13.5: Hopeless Masquerade, Guild Wars II, and StarCraft II.
Cons: Only two Sata slots on the motherboard. Four would help a lot. While playing with the advanced settings in the bios, clicked on a setting that automatically engaged the overclock mode without clicking "save settings." (Yes, this board does have it.) Don't know why it auto engaged, but I was able to revert it easily after reboot. The overclocking settings are "clumsy" at best but it's better than nothing. Hopefully, a later bios update will fix that such.
Overall Review: AMD's push pin CPU cooler is somewhat of a pain to install and it appears somewhat lackluster, but it does keep the chip cool.
Bright and Wonderful
Pros: Brilliant bulbs! As a 3 pack, they fit and match together perfectly in my living room. Looks great in my chandelier. Color temp is perfect and the bulbs are true instant on! (Some LED's have a 2 sec lag before turning on, these have zero) Even at their price, they are fully worth it. The angle of light is also very good more like traditional bulbs. I've had a few Collection LED brand bulbs and these bulbs beat them hands down.
Cons: They are a bit expensive, but you'll make up the savings in the end by having lower energy bills.
Superior Viewing
Pros: Right out of the box, I have just one word, "Wow." The extra space afforded by the 16:10 ratio is instantly apparent and very useful. The collors are brilliant. What is most striking is the SHARPNESS of the picture. There is no smudging and it's clear and concise. Even at non native 1900X1200 resolution, it still looks super sharp. I've been able to switch to (Old school) games that have set full screen resolutions, and they look perfect. Even more impressive is the viewing angles. Vertrilly no color change even at wide angles and the picture looks great now matter which location I'm looking at it in my room. I had been using a ViewSonic VX2460h-LED Black Moniter. I can hardly believe my eyes as the different. SO MUCH BETTER.
Cons: Watch out when playing films, this IS a 16:10 NOT a 16:9 so you will see some small blank areas in the top and bottom of your screen. Not much of a con, but a possible negitive to be aware of.
Overall Review: Should have purchased this monitor instead of going through my headach with my ViewSonic VX2460h-LED Black. I won't knock ViewSonic for trying to be helpful, but their monitor just wasn't as good as this one.
Pros: Works with no issue on my Win XP/7 duel boot system. Both Os's work just fine and it makes my core i7 setup feel even faster! Works great when loading games such as Guild Wars 2 and Starcraft 2!
Cons: Why didn't I buy this sooner?
Overall Review: I was expecting to have to update the firmware to get maximum preformance. The box it came in seemed to indicate I may have to. The updater however said my firmware was up to spec and no update was required.
Never got package
Ordered my power supply on the 19th. No updates since then despite the item is listed as "shipped." Was expected in 5-7 biz days. It's August 7. Horribly disappointed.
