are the bullet cameras weatherproof? Outdoor cameras?

Yes they are weatherproof. I have mine on the eve of my house and they are exposed to rain and the elements and they have worked great for months. Just have to get cobwebs off of them sometimes. I also have sprayed them with water to clean dust off of them. This system is amazing and I highly recommend it.

What's the size of the DVR?

Its pretty small. Probably 11" x 11". This system is great for the money. I put my own hard drive in it. I highly recommend it.

Do the cameras provided only use the BNC cable? Or do they have wireless capabilities as well?

The cameras provided are BNC cable only functionality. You must run the cables to power them.

How long are the camera power supply cords?

Accepted Answer

Camera Power Cords are around 3 feet long including adapter cord. Just to let you know that One Power adapter has 4 cords out that plug in to Camera cords. This unit comes with Two Power adapters for eight cameras (One adapter for four cameras).
Further, it comes with 8 Camera cords that are 60' long each. One side of cord has Video and Power outlet that plugs to Cameras. The other vend of the cord also has two outlets, one for the DVR Video and other for Power. 
Power Adapters plugs to electric outlet somewhere by the DVR which gives power to cameras.
NOTE: You don't have run additional wires for Power. You just have to run eight camera cords for eight cameras from the Cameras to DVR. Just make sure you have electric outlet by the DVR for DVR itself and for Camera Power Adapters.

Will this system take a Wd Purple 1tb hard drive?

Yes...That's exactly what I bought. .I guess the Purple is made specifically for these dvr systems.

what kind of hard drive does this device use? Is it compatible with the standard PC hard drive or does it require a 2.5" laptop hard drive?

It uses standard PC Hard drive (3.5"). For best result, use Western Digital Purple edition which is built for this purpose. But any drive would work. I have Western Digital Red edition 2TB which is working fine. Red edition is built for network devices such as NAS but would suffice for DVR as well

Just purchased this system I'm trying to figure out the audio for the cameras. Do the cameras have audio capabilities?

I am almost certain the cameras do not have on-board audio. I don't remember if there DVR has audio inputs. But If you have audio inputs on there back of your DVR you would need to run that separately. Sorry I cannot give more details at this time. I am currently 1500 miles from my cameras.

So far I have never seen a wireless camera that didn't have an antenna attached to it the it's BNC Siamese or RJ45 Ethernet CAT5e
