is this item a western digital refurb? or a goharddrive refurb? or someone else doing the refurb?

The drive I received from GoHardDrive looked refurbished, based on cosmetic blemishes. My assumption was that this was NOT refurbished by WD based on the "rustic" packaging and lack of any paperwork. GoHardDrive takes "bare drive" to new levels. Picture something that you'd buy on the street in New York out of someones raincoat. The drive itself was flawless though.

Also bear in mind that GoHardDrive issues absolutely no status emails. Total radio silence. The drive will arrive in about 5 days (4 days more than direct from NewEgg) and you WILL be happy to see it because by then you have given up hope. YMMV

Which one is correct?
