For gaming, where you want really fast load times to reduce pauses or waiting while gaming, an NVME M.2 SSD may give you a better experience, but the limitations of the NVME is that they cost quite a bit more than an HDD like this one.

It’s not really ideal for gaming. You probably want a SSD (solid state drive) for that. These drives are designed to be used for storage where you’re overwriting the data frequently, such as a security camera system or a backup drive.   
It is POSSIBLE to use this drive for gaming, but you’re likely going to experience long load times, hitches, and generally poor performance when disk access is required.
