Is their a reason that the Ios Version wouldnt work with the Galaxy version, it's just a simple audio jack i thought?

Here's the problem with using the iOS version with an Android phone. Everything works except the volume buttons. Not sure exactly how the buttons differ but they just don't work. Fortunately for me I don't use them. But if I had bought the correct version I'm sure I would.

They are noise isolating but not noise canceling.  The foam or gel tips simply help block outside noise.
