Pros: Does what I needed it for. Build quality is good enough.
Cons: Feels a bit expensive but I needed a funky adapter so you know, it is what it is.
Overall Review: I bought this to use an Intel mini SSD from an HP EliteBook in another computer. Worked like a charm and saved me some cash so I can't complain. Still, the price is high.
Cons: Had to call Crucial to figure this thing out.....
Overall Review: MUST be plugged into an actual SATA power plug for certain drives to work. A molex to SATA plug will not provide the 3.3v required by some SSD drives to operate.
Pros: Converted internal SATA port to eSATA, Quick and painless
Cons: It didn't come free with my motherboard... :)
Overall Review: Once you go eSATA you wont want USB 2.0 any more
Cons: Low Profile bracket is incorrectly designed. The screw slot for mounting the bracket should be on the opposite side.
Picture on site (as of the date of this review) shows the slot location in the incorrect location. Buyer be ware!
Overall Review: An option would be to modify an existing low profile bracket on your system to fit the dual eSATA connector.
Pros: Works for 1.8 drive
One connection for power and data
Cons: Only available in SSD II
That I even needed it at all, obviously not the fault of star tech.
Overall Review: With my 1.8" 128Gb crucial SSD, I am getting read speeds of 318.41, write 131.64. Can't complain. My velociraptor has been demoted to a data drive.
Pros: It works like it's supposed to. ^_^
Cons: Not much I can think of...Maybe a little on the short side for the price?
Overall Review: Bought this to troubleshoot a 1.8" SATA SSD that was having problems.
Pros: Does what it is supposed to do.
Cons: Sata cables are too short.
Overall Review: I purchased this for a Gaming Desktop which has no options for mounting a Optical Drive inside of it. I have a Optical Drive Enclosure that has ESATA Ports on it and this item completes the connection to my PC. However the SATA Ports inside my PC were too far away and the cables from this item and would not reach it, so I had no choice but to order 2 SATA Cable Extender Cables to complete the connection.
Pros: This along with a ext. esata enclosure was installed in less than 15 minutes with a bathroom break in between. It's a esata bracket, nothing more, nothing less.
