Will this cord supply power to a usb 3.0 pcie card by only connecting the sata part, while leaving the molex disconnected? And is the small sata connection esata, sata iii, or micro sata - the connection to my motherboard is the middle size (full sata is too big, and micro sata is too small)?

The Molex is required to be plugged in (Left on picture) to provide power. The Sata connection is a standard Sata Data connection, not esata (Right on the Picture) The center is a Sata Power and Sata Data combined, It is a specific proprietary connection called "Slimline Serial ATA" and it specifically only fits certain devices like an Internal Slimline DVD Burner.
