For households that already run a Ring Alarm base station, the Panic Button can alternatively connect over Z-Wave for local, base-station-based operation. Amazon Sidewalk connectivity also provides automatic backup if your home WiFi drops, and many eligible Echo and Ring devices in the neighborhood help strengthen the shared network. Power comes from 2 included CR2032 coin cell batteries, rated for up to 3 years of use depending on how often the button is pressed and its proximity to a Sidewalk Gateway.
