I've narrowed my choices down and I'm left with this or the Deathadder 2013. Which should I get?

I have owned both and this is by far the better of the two. I have been extremely impressed with the build quality and the accuracy when playing FPS games. However, I want to make a couple of things clear. This mouse is smaller, so you will need to use a claw style while playing. Also, it is very light, but those things make it great for playing. Also, there is a mouse comparison on line about comparing sensors that is greatly helpful. You will need to Google it however.

What sized hand is this designed for....I have a hand that is 6.5" from the base of my palm to the top of my tallest finger. Would this mouse be the right size for me?

It depends on how you grip the mouse as much as the size of the mouse itself.

Google "Razer grip types" and look up palm, claw, and fingertip grip on their site. I can't link it here.

I have even smaller hands than you, and I got this mouse because I have small hands and use the claw grip. If you use palm grip, it is probably too small. If you use fingertip or palm grip, then it may be good. To be honest even with my small hands (an inch shorter than yours), I found the mouse too narrow. The length is fine but the width was too small. In shooters, I use the mouse 4 (thumb button) for sprint and have to hold it down much of the time, so a mouse with a wider base is better for me. If you don't need to use your mouse side buttons as much as I do, this may be good. Ultimately, you won't know until you get it in your hands.

Another issue I had with the mouse is the material it's made from. It's a rubberized material of some kind, and it's very, very smooth and even a little slippery. For a person like me that basically puts her mouse in a death grip while gaming.. this was kind of a no go.
