No, only the Roku3 and NEW Roku 2 are compatible with the remote w/headphone jack.  That is a WiFi based remote.

This older unit uses a Bluetooth remote.

Roku3 is the only one to have earphone jack on the remote.  Also the remote for Roku3 is Wi-Fi, Roku2 remote is Bluetooth.

Does this Roku device have a Pandora App?

I do think that there is a Pandora app on the Roku, although I have not activated it. I am mostly into movies and those are the apps I am mostly using. I will say that the installation was quite simple once I obtained the necessary components. I needed a HDMI switch and an extra HDMI cable because I did not have sufficient HDMI input plugs on the TV. The 1080 HD output is excellent and I am completely satisfied with the purchase. BTW It also has a USB plug on the unit and a dedicated app which is useful for viewing my .jpg pictures. It also allows MP4 file home movies to be viewed with the same app.

The connection you need on your TV for this device is HDMI or Composite video connection, (that's the one for the  yellow, red and white RCA jacks). The Roku Connects to the internet wireless or buy Ethernet Cable. I hope this answer your question.

Does this work thru my PC or completely on it's own? I have TWC packaged for phone, internet and TV. I'm interested in 1080 TV. I have TV's with digital tuners so does it work with the tv's or thru my PC?

It streams content directly through your internet connection using sites like, Netflix, Hulu Plus, Pandora, and Amazon Prime, to name a few of the big ones.  No need for a PC.  It can play files on this model through the USB port as well, most Roku's do not have this feature so look for it if you want it.  You just need a usb stick with media files or a portable harddrive with files and this box can play them directly off that stick or drive.  I suppose that this, of course, requires a PC in the sense that you have to copy files onto a usb stick with some sort of device which is usually a PC.  Of course with certain Roku "channels" you can stream right from a PC so you don't need the stick or drive.  If you ever did want to do that.  "Plex" is the channel for direct streaming in case you are interested in the future.  Roku by default will not play avi files FYI, they need to demuxed into MP4 or streamed through something like "plex".  Good luck.

Can this Roku play movies that are downloaded from torrents?

First the disclaimer:  I by no means endorse the illegal or improper distribution of media, If you don't own it you shouldn't be downloading it.

When you ask can it play downloaded movies:
- The short answer is yes.
- The longer answer is as long as the movie is in a format that is supported by the decoder that roku uses, they a downloaded copy will indeed work.
- This also assumes you will be playing it directly from a drive plugged into the USB port and have the necessary channel installed to play from said device.

As an aside to your question:  
There are other options that will allow you to play nearly any video format from your roku.  I encourage you to explore options like PlayOn (not free), and Plex (free) channels for playing content over a network.  With these channels you can stream content from virtually any source that is on your local network (such as, NAS, PC file share, etc.).

how many tvs does it hook up to?

We only have it hooked up to one TV. I researched having the output go to more than one TV, and the expense for splitters was MUCH higher than just getting a second Roku.
