What happens when your device remote do not work after you changed the batteries?

The remote is wifi based. So you could hit the reset button below the batteries, but I'd reset my wifi router so both the stick & remote can re-sync. Failing that, maybe your new batteries are bad?

no, but it is bt and unit can be entirely hidden and connected to the tv , the bt  also means no line of sight required positioning. have had roku for ten years and have replaced all the older  units with this
