Does this card support port multiplier? I want to use this in linux machine to attach external drive enclosure with 4 x 2TB drives in it

I really don't think this device supports port multiplier, particularly at this low price point. Mfr website does not list it as a feature; and from what I could dig up in a search, port multiplier was introduced as a SATA spec 2 feature - this device only supports SATA v1 spec.

Try searching newegg for " sata port multiplier " - I found a 2-port PCIe card and a PCI card as well on here for decent prices.
