Pros: powerful gear. It has everything I want, the SD card reader, USB 3.0 ports ( i really want only USB 3.0), fast charging ports ( they are quite useful to me), the digital meter for the USB ports, this is my fav, I am curious to check the Amp when charging my cell phone or tablet, and i can almost tell they are accurate. The fan speed control is maybe the only thing I am not using that often, because i do not play games much. But once a while, when the room hot, i do turn up the speed and i can hear the fan sounds louder, so i worked. Well, that's all, a mini report from my point of view. I like it, good stuff.

Pros: slot for micro sd cards. Reads higher capacity cards correctly. I have a 512GB micro sd card and the reader can access all 512GB. Has a voltage display for USB ports. Which is great for troubleshooting faulty USB sticks.

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: Optional fan control (not using)

Pros: The multiple USB ports attracted me, but I never got to test it out.

Cons: The second the computer turned on when I plugged it in for the first time, it's sparked and burst into flames. It was around the blue USB ports that were connected to the actual part.

Overall Review: My computer now won't turn back on, probably a blown fuse. I don't even want to try to plug it back in.

Pros: Charging ports, usb hub, and card reader all work. Did not test fan control.

Overall Review: This works fine as a 4 port USB 3 hub. It works fine as a fast charger. The only way this device could burn something up is if it delivered more than 5 volts which means it is defective. A connected usb device designed for 5 volts should have the proper resistance to draw the correct current. E=IR. Whoever said this was for charging only, does not understand the term "usb hub" The hub circuit board is fed by a usb 3 connector and a Molex for additional current. There would be no point in the usb input connector if it was a charge only device.

Pros: Charging amperage readout is convenient Supports a high current than normal usb on the "charging" ports, this is especially useful for arduino projects which may pull more current than the pc mother board supports. The fan controller is a nice benift to give a bit more noise control or push air through your system more. Card slots are functional as you would expect from a card reader

Cons: The SD card slot (the main reason I bought this expansion) is poor fitting and the housing of the bay flexes a little on removal. If you only have one device in the USB port you still have to cycle to it's specific input to see the current

Pros: This device has read every form factor memory card I have thrown at it. The USB ports also work, although they charge devices at a low rate. I do not use the fan controller, so I can't comment on that.

Cons: The LED display has degraded to a point where it is almost impossible to read. The number value for each digit is displayed using two columns made up of two vertical "segments" each, and three rows of 1 horizontal segment each. Within a month two segments stopped working, so it was difficult to differentiate a 3 from a 5 for example. Recently even more have gone dark, so that it is now impossible to read.

Overall Review: I would recommend this to anyone that didn't care at all about the LED display that shows the current voltage and amperage draw of a device connected to the ports, but then again, why would anyone that didn't care about these details buy this? I would absolutely NOT recommend this to somebody that was interested in using the LED display to monitor the current draw characteristics of a device plugged into one of the USB ports. I am very disappointed.

Pros: Nice idea in theory: 4 USB 3.0 ports & a good selection of flash ram slots. Really excellent Newegg customer service & RMA policy.

Cons: I was very enthuiastic about my first purchase & then I ordered another 3. Two of these were for some of my other PCs & 1 for a customer. BIG mistake! NONE of the 3 worked properly. I ended up returning 2 under Newegg RMAs & reluctantly kept the third. I gave my customer the good one and kept a partially working one for my PC. None of the 3 had ANY working USB slots! I have a unit that can only be used for reading my 128Gig micro SD (from my Axon7 smartphone). The poor construction of one unit destroyed a very important Corsair 64Gig USB 3 thumb drive that I used to install Windows 7 in addition to containing many many other files. I tried these units in several other machines with the same result. Complete waste of time & money when the failure rate is 75% for a reasonally representive sample. Very frustrating.

Overall Review: I would not recommend buying this item until the manufacturer can CONSISTENTLY provide units that actually WORK! I have had to resort to an old Orico 4 port USB 3 extension which connects to one of my 2 rear USB 3 ports. Truely pathetic!

Pros: it works, does what it says

Cons: The sides are very short if you have a locking side mount to it like my case does. I was able to screw in one side but the other does not stay locked. If your removing plugs in after charging it comes loose. Then it will pop out and i have to unscrew my case side and re attach it again. The only solution was to use the instructions and fold the paper to wedge into the back of the clips on my case to keep it secure.

Overall Review: if the side were longer it would have gotten all eggs.
