Rosewill RFX-100B - 90mm Computer Case Cooling Fan - PCI Slot, Super Quiet

Pros: Putting this next to my EVGA card brought its core temp down from 72C to 59C. And the processor temp went down another 10C, probably because the whole inside of the case is way cooler - the VGA card was heating the whole case up, now the hot air gets immediately shipped out

Overall Review: My other 3 fans are louder than this, I can't even hear it. Wonder what 2 together would do..

Pros: *As advertised, moves around 35CFM. *Will lower your CPU temperature if placed next to it *Runs around 19-23 DBA *Neat color choice

Cons: *Over-priced. *Frame to Plastic housing connection is very weak and allows for vibration - which WILL cut down on fan life and does lead to the higher 26 DBA

Overall Review: *Frame to Plastic can be fixed with a little super glue, but why do I have to super glue a new fan? *Why do people say the LEDs do not work? IT DOESN'T COME WITH ANY. It is UV reative.

Pros: Quiet, does what it is supposed to. Lowered avg. temp by about 10-12 c. Even during long gaming sessions, fan is still exaughsting cooler air, keeps system cool enought where other auto temp regulated fans in my case do not have to increase RPM's to cool down, this in return keeps case super quiet.

Cons: flimsy design, but it makes no difference.

Pros: Moves a lot of air, very silently. Unless you have a completely silence case, I can almost guarantee that you will not hear this over any other fan in your case. Dropped GPU about 7*C!

Overall Review: I've owned a few of these, and they work great! I cut out the center fan grill with a dremel, since no one sticking there fingers inside the case between the video card and into it... Also dremeled out the slots in the rear, and down some more cause they don't cut it down all the way. Increased the air flow dramatically, dropped GPU about 3*C after that mod. Oh, and to the guy who wanted to use this as an intake fan - All you have to do is reverse the polarity of the motor.

Overall Review: Compared this to another very similar product from a different brand before buying two more for various machines. This one lost the comparison for a couple of reasons: it moves less air, and is a bit nosier. It's construction also feels really cheap. I'm considering that's the main reason for the little bit of extra noise. That being said, it doesn't mean this is a useless piece of junk. It sits directly underneath my video card and does help keep the heat build up to a minimum. The fanless heatsink benefits a great deal by having this exhaust right next to it. However, this will get moved to my least mission critical machine. It does it's job well enough, there are simply other products that do that job a bit better. I would recommend looking in the general direction of MassCool.

Pros: the fan blades spin. actually it's a water wheel arrangement.

Cons: In my mid-tower the device is mounted horizontally. Unfortunately there is no way to mount it so it stays horizontal - only one screw and a case slot retainer which doesn't fit due to how the cooler case is designed. There is nothing to allow it to be mounted using a mb slot. Thus if you turn your computer off, gravity takes over and moves it out of the horizontal.. Then when you power it up the spinning wheel hits the cooler's case and makes such a racket that you will either go deaf or get a headache or both. That is unless you like a lot of noise - like standing behind a 747 with the engines a full power and not wearing hearing protection. The people who designed this must be the same people who designed the faulty actuators on airbags. Rosewell should really be paying you to take it off their hands. Would RMA but it would cost more than what I paid. However, after about 10 or 15 minutes the noise goes away and doesn't come back unless you turn off the rig and don't restart it soon enough. So if you are one of those that never turns off their rig, it may be ok for you.

Pros: well it was cheaper than a 20 oz. Red Bull

Cons: Since it was so cheap you can imagine the quality of this item. If you are lacking in the imagination department just think of those toys you get for trading in your tickets at the arcade (imagine you have less than 20 tickets) its about on par with the manufacturing of one of those plastic army men with the parachute.

Overall Review: It worked for a total of a whole 2 days before I was greeted with the oh so pleasant smell of burning solder/wires. Well once the fan dies you can just snap the plastic housing off the bracket and enjoy your new $9 PCI slot cover (I know I am...)

Pros: It moves air.

Cons: It is loud.
