Rosewill RP500-2 500W ATX12V v2.01 Power Supply

Pros: very nice power supply, many power connectors, very very quiet

Cons: cords are a little long even for my big case, but i can live with that, its better theyre too long rather than too short

Pros: This product was very very quiet, Had all the connectors i needed, and they were plenty long ( i have a very large case, Antec P180). LED is very nice looking.

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: Im running a power hog system, Core 2 Duo 6800 extreme, and GeForce 8800GTX, 4 Sata Hard Drives and 2 Dvd Rw drives, along with 2 gigs of ram. And im only using about 60% of it peak power.

Pros: Good power supply. Quiet, looks good. Alot of connectors, PCI-E, did i mention it looks good?

Cons: Doesnt have sleeves on the cables like the thermaltake TR2 430, birght blue led (which ruined my red theme, but its ok)

Overall Review: Powers up E6550@2.33, 2GB OCS DC 5-5-5-15, 2HD with SATA-IDE controller, Samsung DVD-RW, EVGA8600GTS Superclocked

Pros: Runs my E5200 OC'd and GTX 260 without a hitch. Many cables, all at a decent length, and all wrapped. It's a heavy son of a gun too, which usually suggests of quality components (be wary of the lightweight power supply). Actually has a nice paint job, so i guess if you leave the side of your case open people can ogle it, but it doesn't make a difference to me. !20mm fan is quiet and moves air reasonably well. Meets the requirements for a GTX 260 or 280 with 500w and 34 Amps on the 12v rail.

Cons: Blue LED lights built into the fan, if I want LED lights I can buy a bar for the bottom of my case and paint everything fluorescent, this is not something I look for in a power supply, save the money and put an extra ampere or two on that 12v rail. Also, only has one 6 pin video card power connector so I had to use a cheesy molex to 6 pin adapter. 72% efficiency max instead of the coveted 80%, so thats what, like, 3 extra cents a year on my electric bill.

Overall Review: Overall a great power supply for a good price, I recommend it if you don't need to run SLI or Crossfire.

Pros: Kewl, Kwite, and it Kept. Pretty. Loads of connectors, and works.

Overall Review: I started using these with AMD X2's....really loaded with Raid, high end cards, etc. I build on workbench, and transfer to cases. I threw together a Phenom one night, and thought I would try it. Using clamp on amp meter, it shows very stable voltages, and quick swithing. It's still running the first Phenom [9600 w/ECS A780xx] board. I also used same hardware with x64 Vistro setup with a good biostar, and others etc. It just works perfect. It gives me the impression that it will compete quite well with higher end ps vendors. All of these machines burn in for 2 weeks until shipped out. That's really why I wrote the review because I was back for another lot.

Pros: Great unit. Quiet, great finish, looks sharp, fan speed control. This thing has some heft to it. Overall I'm very very impressed.

Cons: LED brightness goes down with the lower fan speeds.

Overall Review: Some have complained of long cables. The cables are very long. Anyone who complains about the cables being to long is an idiot. Tie up the slack and be grateful they aren't an inch too short. I have a mid sized tower. In f afull tower this would be a great unit for cable length.

Pros: After buying a Zerotherm cf900 for a noisey cpu fan, my power supply fan started whinning. This PSU's fan is ultra quiet, has 2 speeds which is great and selectable...I use this for recording music and need fans in my computer that are barely audible....so far so good... burning it in now as I type

Cons: Long power cables, maybe thats a plus.

Overall Review: Easy to install and heavey. A large 120mm fan mounted underneath the power suppy on the inside of computer case as installed.

Pros: I have built 3 machines with this power supply and am very happy with it all around, especially with it being so quiet. I will use another one of these in my next build. The blue light on the fan is a nice bonus.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: There are lots of cables I'm not using that require some creative routing in order to keep the air flowing properly inside the case.
