Note: A motherboard with a PCIe 4.0 M.2 socket is recommended. The Rocket 4.0 Plus is backward compatible with PCIe 3.0 and 2.0 even with fewer than four lanes, but will face bandwidth restrictions.


Note 2: Blazing-fast Gen4 SSDs may generate excess heat and throttle under prolonged workloads. We recommend a M.2 heatsink in order to sustain performance.
