Just so I'm clear with this docking station, I can connect this to my PC and use it as a normal drive? E.G. I plug it in, and it shows as drives D: and E: in Explorer with 2 NVMe's installed and I can read from it and write to it?

Yes you can connect it to your computer and if you have 2 NVMe's installed. You will see two available drive letters. One for each NVMe. I have 2 drives. I use one for data and the other drive for virtual machines.

Does this need a power supply when used for cloning? Is 1 included?

directions say do not use device without its ac adapter. one of the steps also says to connect ac. it also says to disconnect usb cable prior to cloning.

Will this docking station allow me to install the wd_black 2tb nvme PCIe 4.0 that comes with it's own heatsink? Or will there be clearance issues?
