Will this fit under the built in heatsinks of an MSI MEG Z790 ACE motherboard?

I only have experience with the non-heatsink version of the Samsung 990 Pro and it fits fine with the MSI MEG Z790.  I believe the heatsink version will not fit, unless the cover is removed which voids the warranty.

Question 3

Can you remove the heatsink from the model with a heatsink, and use the m.2 without it? The motherboard has a heat transfer system to mitigate heat from the device it seems and the heatsink interferes with it.

I had the same issue.  I could not get the heatsink removed. It has special fasteners that did not come out.  Ended up destroying the drive,    Good luck.
