Can I get streaming video from Netflix on this with a Roku box?  Is there a place to plug in the connection to the Roku box?

I looked up specs for a Roku 3 unit.  It has an HDMI connector and the Samsung 5500 32" should allow streaming video to connect correctly.  If you connect the Samsung 5500 directly to the Internet, you can stream Netflix directly into the TV.  And the Samsung 5500 even has wi-fi to do the same thing.  This is a really nice Smart TV. Yes, it actually has built in WiFi. It works very well. I haven't had any problems since I've purchased it.

It does not. Although most people find that not having a fixed camera pointed at you all the time while you're watching TV or playing video games a positive. Just ask Microsoft.

Is this a smart tv?  The specs say know but the product is listed as smart tv?

It is indeed a smart tv, it has the full samsung hub meaning it can stream netflix hulu or amazon prime as well as dlna streaming from a computer. It is a great little tv if you want most of the features but need a small screen size.

yes it does, you have some option,
wire or wireless modem, USB port's,  its very easy navigate by smart hub function located under your finger, i'm kind worry about install modem because Samsung directly want take your all information and used all time with your signature.
Beside that recommend, as best of price and  upgrade.

I have a regular cable box. There are 3 HDMI ports, a LAN port, and 2 USB ports apart from the regular cable wire point, IR OUT, AUDIO OUT, the regular AV IN and out plugs, plus a DIGITAL AUDIO OUT and an EX-LINK.

Is there an output for wired headphones or wireless headphones?

Yes, it does have an 1/8" audio out jack to plug earphones or what ever you want into the back of the TV.
I've read a few reviews that said there was no audio output jack.
One review said they called Samsung who confirmed there was no audio output jack.
I just plug some headphones into the audio output jack and it is an output jack, I could hear the TV through the headphones no problem

I am not sure what you're asking. If you want to watch Netflix on TV than yes. Just connect the TV to the Internet by wifi or ethernet cable and sign in with your Netflix account. The TV has a Netflix application accessible from the smart hub.

Is this tv 60hz or 120 hz.  it says 120 smart motion rate -- what is that?

In the specifications tab it lists this tv as 60Hz refresh rate. Clear Motion Rate improves picture clarity and motion blur using backlight technology and image processor speed. It does seem to produce a more blur free picture than a normal 60Hz tv though. I don't have any complaints about the TV itself. If you want a true 120Hz tv, however, this is not one.
