Pros: Effective entry level SSD solution. Great for common desktop or laptop builds. Instantly improve nearly any system performance with the proper installation of one of these drives. Also great for a starter system or a tighter budget build. This model is a nice drop in for laptops especially of nearly any make or model that use standard SATA setups. I have used Samsung SSDs on both older SATA 2 and newer SATA 3 models with minimal issues.
Cons: The EVO 750s are as I said entry level. Their performance is a tad less than say the 850 series (3D Nand) drives. As such their life span and warranty are less, but that doesn't mean they don't serve well for what they are. They could be priced a bit less to compete better against the higher level drives. Some brands feel better built (Intel or Hynix for an example). The Samsungs feel very light and, well... Cheap. Even the 850s have this with regards to the casing and feel of the drive in your hand. This however doesn't seem to affect performance, its mostly just a aesthetic thing.
Overall Review: The software keeps having to evolve to keep up with the OS. Currently the Rapid mode appears to be supported on drives using GPT and NTFS partitions. They only recently updated both the Magician and Cloning software for Windows 10 for both 32 and 64 bit platforms with single drive usage. (Rapid mode doesn't support raid or multiple SSD configurations). And yes they support the 750 models according to their website page here: http://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/download/tools.html Review the PDF documents found there for details on what is supported. But I see the documents were updated to include Windows 10. I tested the download links, all software is still currently available via their website. They haven't been shipping the software with the drive itself. Also no more stickers. *pout
Pros: My first ssd. What a huge improvement over my standard hard drives. Super quick and quiet. No problems setting it up. Hugely improves access times to programs installed on it. Great drive so far!
Cons: none
Pros: Very Responsive - Fast Great Price for the Performance Lots of Options with Magician Software RAPID mode makes this thing even faster Migration (Cloning) feature makes installation a dream
Cons: With Magician software, be sure to read the description as to your selections between Reliability and Performance. Certain selections will soak up your RAM and close out programs that you're normally used to running. Not a huge problems but something to consider if you have a low amount of RAM.
Overall Review: Overall, so far so good. Did not come with a software disk so you'll need to go online to download both the Migration and Magician software. I'm kicking myself now that I didn't go ahead and get the 250GB. Guess I'll need to get a second 120GB to run in RAID. This is just as much a Hardware upgrade as you getting a new CPU or GPU. This comes 3rd in that choice of Must haves!! UPDATE: I love this SSD so much and as I previously stated, why didn't I go ahead and get the 250GB? I went ahead and purchased a second 120GB and set it up in RAID. Gaming life has changed significantly with this SSD. Life in general is now that much better...
Pros: Great performance for the everyday user! I bought this to replace a Western Digital Raptor 10k hard disk drive. Cloned the HDD (windows 7 environment) in about 40 minutes and it booted right up. My average boot up time from POST to login screen went from 50 seconds to about 25. From login to having all the startup programs running went from 75 seconds to about 7! And yes... I actually timed several boot-ups/logins to get a decent average of both! Totally revitalized a 10 year old PC! I will likely not need to upgrade my desktop for years to come!
Cons: None at this time
Pros: Loads fast and enough memory
Cons: None
Overall Review: Good for a small build, enough memory for Windows 10 and a couple of games.
Pros: + Samsung Data Migration Software + Samsung Magician Software + RAPID mode + Economic Value/Size + Samsung reliability + 3 year warranty
Cons: - None
Overall Review: I picked this out for a customer that has a Dell XPS 8700. While working on it one day I couldn't help but notice how long the PC took to boot up. With his gigantic 2 TB 5400 RPM drive it was taking upwards of close to 2 minutes to become ready. I made the suggestion of installing a SSD in his aging Dell to speed it up. I then bragged that he would be so impressed with the difference that he would be happy he spent the money. At the time I thought I could use a 250 Gb hard drive. I didn't realize how much data he had on his hard drive. He had over 240 GB of data on his original. He agreed to the upgrade and I suggested this Samsung 750 EVO 500 GB. At this cost he was skeptical of the upgrade but I pushed him a bit. I installed the Data Migration and Samsung Magician software packages and then opened the case to install the hard drive using an Icy Dock conversion kit. The migration process took about an hour to complete. I shutdown and unplugged the original drive and left it in the case for a back up. I booted and then ran the Magician software. I turned on RAPID mode and did another restart. The time the PC took to shutdown and restart went from around 2 minutes to about 20 seconds. The customer was so impressed and admitted he was skeptical of the upgrade at first. Being a customer's PC I didn't run any speed tests before or after. Looking back I suppose I should just to prove to him the difference it made on paper. I do know that my job couldn't have been any easier and he is one very happy customer with his supercharged PC! I give it 5 Eggs as I have used several EVO's for customers now and have not had one customer regret the upgrade or the cost. A big thumbs up!
Pros: Cloning old HDD to this SSD took 7 minutes in Windows 10 Pro. PC now runs like nothing I have ever used. OS load in 5 sec. Programs load instantly. No busy drive after login. No more drive 100%. Makes the system like a brand new one [that uses SSD]. Keep up the great work Samsung.
Cons: None. Zero. Period.
Overall Review: Recommend to anyone. Great in Notebook and desktop. Very thin, thinner than my HDD that was specifically designed for 7mm or less drive. Included Magician software sets everything up. Amazing product. After this experience I would have paid more, got a great deal on this SSD.

Pros: Very fast drive. Similar speeds to the 850 EVO. Using ATTO Benchmark I achieved max 556mb/s read and 532mb/s write. I have used 3 of these so far in systems I have built and I could not be happier with them. Great cost to performance ratio with this drive!
Cons: None that I encountered.
Overall Review: I've been using Samsung drives for about the last 3 years and I have never (knock on wood) had one fail. Excellent reliability and great performance, even for the price. I would definitely recommend this drive to others!
