I am not sure about Virgin Mobile, but I do know that it will support any SIM-based carriers if you have the respective sim card. I am currently on T-Mobile and bought this phone and simply put in my SIM-card in order to use the phone. I believe CSDM-based phones require a contract, whereas if you are currently in another contract with a carrier that uses sim-cards, then you are free to buy this phone and swap in your sim-card.
