I live in the 67460 zip code where Verizon & Sprint are the best here. Will this phone operate in my area?

Does this have removable sim so I can leave freedompop and use another carrier like att? Unlocked I guess? I already have a freedompop hot spot for wifi but, I also have over 400 minutes on my att gophone account I have accumulated over the years..

It has a removable sim, however FreedomPop uses the Sprint network, which uses CDMA technology like Verizon. AT&T, T-Mobile, and many others use GSM; they are incompatible. Even Sprint and Verizon sim cards cannot be swapped with each other. At least not stock, I wouldn't mess with something when it works fine. I have never had a problem with carrier-locked devices.  This is not unlocked. I'm not sure if it is possible to unlock. I just started using FreedomPop with a different device and you get a phone number or can use your existing # and get the most basic: 200 minutes, 500 texts, and 500MB of data for $0.00/ month, no contract. Can get better plans, but that has monthly costs, and most services have a cost each month.  Otherwise, just buy phone, which is usually a certified pre-owned older model, but works fine and costs less. Also try to use wifi as much as possible. Good as a backup phone and number.
