Pros: Ease easy set up. Almost just had to plug it it. Remote taught itself (wonderful). Picture out of this world. Purchased partly due to reviews saying works well in brightly lit room. So true. Used to have to close the drapes during the day, I have two large windows, now I can leave them open and there is very little glare. The blacks are black, the whites are white. I really like this TV. So glad I made this investment.
Cons: Took a week or so to get used to the new look, brightness of the picture. So worth it. Looked up advanced settings and changed the setup for the picture, worth the time for regular watching, seems there are different settings for gamers. Using two remotes, one for cable, the other for the TV. I think the TV remote could do both but have not figured it out. Biggest con for me is the TV volume (reason for the 4 rating instead of 5) has to set quite high and its not just my hearing. Maybe a sound bar will help that, but I feel I shouldn't need to go that route. The expense of this TV sound bar quality should be built in.
Overall Review: I would definitely say, if you are ready to make the investment, this is a really great TV. I did a fair amount of research. OLED vs QLED. The kicker for me was the the great picture in a bright room. Amazingly easy setup, even for a 60 yo person. An investment for sure, but I have decided at this point in my life, I have earned being able to have some things that are a better (out of okay, good, better, and best). Was also timid about purchasing online. Made sure I used a highly rated dealer, one who backed up their products. Newegg had good reviews and most people were happy when issues had to be dealt with. I do not expect to have issues with this TV, but never say never. Only thing I would change is the audio, only weakness in this purchase. Set your budget, find a good dealer, and go for it. You have earned it.
