Pros: - Samsung
- 23" 5ms
- No DOAs or dead pixels
- Good Quality/Price Ratio
Cons: - No wall mounting
- If you buy more than one monitor and put identical settings, you may still have one screen darker than the other. Docking Samsung one egg for that.
- 60 Hz max
- Screen Auto-Adjust not for PC mode. Only AV mode.
Overall Review: I bought two monitors. Make sure to discharge the static you'll build up taking the screens out of their box. I had lightning bolts coming off my fingers!
I have a workstation AMD W5000 GPU, so I'm able to increase the quality to the point of "diminishing returns." I would NOT recommend these screens for fast paced gaming. I use them for SolidWorks, and they do pretty well.
Pros: This is a great monitor for the price, very sharp, good color, thin and light weight.
Cons: I would have given it five stars but I guess I didn't do enough research. It doesn't have a standard four screw mount. I bought it knowing that it had a flimsy stand but I was hoping to use a sturdy, adjustable spare I was keeping for just such an occasion.
Overall Review: I'd still buy it but I'm disappointed that I wasn't able to upgrade it with my own stand.
Pros: Simple interface.
VGA cable isn't permenantly affixed.
Cons: Out-of-box colors give migranes.
Yellows have the most problem, different lighting makes them look greenish.
The stand is put together with gravity, there is nothing stopping you from yanking the monitor off its stand.
Overall Review: Stand is cheap and wobbles if moved too hard like say accidentally hitting the table.
Download Samsung's Natural Color Pro and do the advanced configuration, the colors will look waaaaay better.
I personally see no difference between using VGA or HDMI. Don't feel too compelled to buy a HDMI cord.
Alright I've got to update this review.
Still loving both of these monitors.
I want a third, but I've been waiting for the price to drop back down to $99 or below again so I can pick it up.
I'm a college student. I work as a graphic designer and boy do these monitors help.
I of course also game on them too.
Right now a competitor has the lowest price of $150 but I'm not buying one for anything less than $99.
Bright and Clear
Cheap
Easy to use menu for changing display settings
Cons: No speakers, but it has an audio out so if you have speakers they can plug into the monitor
Yes it is a little unstable, but if you have a stable table to put it on you will be fine
Overall Review: This was $149.99 when I bought it a week ago and if I would have known it was this good then I would have bought more. If it drops to that again or lower I will be purchasing 2 more. :) I'm in college so the difference between 189.99 and 149.99 is great. :) I hope Newegg/Samsung see this :D
Pros: Good quality for the price point; works w/Analog (VGA/DVI) or HDMI output. 1080p, 5ms response
Cons: Not possible to mount with VESA; the stand doesn't adjust (height), the tilt adjustment is cumbersome and minimal.
Pros: Biggest screen I've had by far, and I think if I went any bigger it would be too much. I bought this monitor back in December when it was on sale and I haven't had any problems since. The HDMI is a plus annndd... I dunno. I love this thing.
Cons: None. :D
Overall Review: I stream games on Twitch and I need a 2nd monitor (helps for multi-tasking) ... I'm a bit impatient now and I don't want to pay extra for 1 day shipping for another one of these. Sooo I'm about to head off to a local store to pick one up. Good product, Samsung!
Pros: Easy setup
Cons: Stand is not adjustable
You can see lines in the screen
Is not very clear
Coloring isnt great
Overall Review: Maybe I just got a dud, but this monitor is definitely well below expectations. The images are not clear, text is blurry, and coloring seems somewhat off. The whole screen image does not appear to be the same from looking directly at the screen. I had to shift where I was standing to get different parts of the screen to look the same. Really was a little disappointed here, thought it would be better based on the customer reviews. I spent a good two hours trying to adjust this, updating drivers, using the packaged software, etc. I had no luck. Read a bit online about settings adjustments too. Ended up just plugging in my old 24" inch monitor and it still looks great. The contrast between my old and this monitor was stark. I am planning to return.
Cons: The screen looks really blurry. Pixel columns stand out. Perhaps both the screens I bought are bad, but I think it's just how they are made. Much poorer picture quality than I was expecting.
Overall Review: Very tall stands
Power cord has a 90 degree bend and may not fit in your outlet
