Had a cartridge, but not sure what size. Had some trouble with unit printing multiple copies of special autos, could not clear and now toner indicates needs replacing after about one month use.  Went on line and toners cost about $1235.oo to $200.00 depending on number of copies desired.  my previous copier, DELL 926 lasted about 5 years replacing ink cartridges @ $19.00 to $45.00 every 6 months. and making many copies  Seems DELL have a better product.

Does this come with toner?

Mine did. The first one I received had a cartridge that was less than 10% full. I called and notified newegg. They worked with the seller to make it right and exchange it for another one with full toner. How much it's actually *supposed* to come with, I have no clue. It would be great if the seller was specific about this, wouldn't it?

Yes, it comes with toner.  Just FYI, toner is really pricey that you would want to purchase recycled toner if you want to save some money.

Does this refurbished printer come with a new/unused toner cartridge?

No, the cartridge is used.  About six months ago, this printer went on sale for about $40 after a rebate.  People who bought them at that time reported that cartridge was used and the one I bought was used as well.  Fortunately, mine was 95% full.  Other people reported that their cartridge was anywhere from 50% to 100% full.  It's luck of the draw.

what is included with this? will I need a USB cord? if so which one. will I need ink? if so what kind & which one.  Please tell me all is needed to set this printer up.

I brought this printer back in June 2013.

1) You will need a USB cord - standard printer USB cord (male square end to male flat rectangle end)

2) Laser printers such as this do not use ink. They use toner - which is a black powder substance. To answer your question, it does come with a starter toner cartridge. I got about 300 pages out of mine printing Microsoft Word documents. If you print things that cover the page with more toner then you will run out faster.

3) It comes with setup instructions and a CD to install the printer on the computer.

Hello Frank,

The Samsung SCX-3405W does come with a full cartridge, however the printer software claims the software is half full.

I was surprised to find out that the cartridge outlasts a standard purchase.  This is a great wireless AIO unit.

Does it come with full ink toner?

The reviews I read before purchase claimed a full cartridge and it showed 100% when I installed it, giving the impression that there's a full cartridge, however, I haven't used the printer that much and it shows 90%. I have a hunch it showed 100% of a starter cartridge...just a guess. Having said that, this printer is still the best bang for my buck although it did not contain a starter disc, installation was available on samsungs website

Does this model copier also?

Yes. And the copy function is really easy.

It even has a "Copy ID" function, that will put the front and back of an item onto one page (eg to copy a credit card or drivers license) by scanning one side, waiting for you to turn it over, then putting both images on one page.

The unit comes with the toner, more full than the software thinks which is great!

The toner however has a special chip in it, so beware of using generic toner, which may not be compatible, even with a guarantee.

Yes it comes with a toner cartridge if that's what you mean.  I lucked out and got a full one.  The one I got for my dad had a cartridge that was 97% full.
