How are the viewing angles on this TV? Does the picture look washed out when viewing it from the side?

Very please with this TV. I don't experience any washout. Bought cause I can play movies from a USB drive as I don't subscribe to any TV service. Wish I would have got it at this price. Added a sound bar is all it needed, cheap Samsung sound bar

The "H" after UN40 is the year.  "J" is newest but "H" is a good model acccording to Samsung after my 14 mos old model "F" blackscreened its way to the trash.  So far very satisified with mine.  Volume is far better than last one.

I do know what a QAM tuner is but I honestly don't know if this TV has one. I use it with DirecTV only. I can check when I get home if you want. It is really nice TV in any event. I have it hanging on the wall in my bar room.

Of course it includes sound. It has very nice speakers natively. Deep bass. In fact, others complain in my apartment that it's a bit too loud as a consequence.

Can I use this with a Vesa 600x400 wall mount?

It claims to be Vesa 200mm x 200mm compatible and I can confirm the screw holes on the back for such a mount. I haven't tried it myself, but I would say that it definitely should be compatible, though it is a little thick for it to really look good on a wall mount. Great TV though!
