I have a wide screen that I used to attach to my previous laptop but I can't see any specification how to do it with this Tablet. Can it be done? and if, please let me know how so I can decide to purchase it.

Yes there is a micro-HDMI port on the side of the tablet itself, I've not actually done it with this one but I have another very similar Samsung ATOM tablet that I have done it with several times.

If you open the picture by clicking the ..., choose the picture of the left side of the tablet, then click the + twice and you can see the port and even read the label. The cable does NOT come with the tablet so you will either need an adapter or a cable for a  micro-HDMI. Hope this helps!!!!

Product Description says "tablet". Does this disconnect from the keyboard for use as a standalone tablet? The picture provide do not confirm this.

Yes. The device can be used as a laptop when the keyboard is attached, and a tablet when it is not. There is a physical button on the keyboard to disconnect the device.

does it fold down like a laptop? i cant find any pictures showing it folded up, just together and separated.

Yes, you can fold it up like a laptop when it is docked.  The only caveat is the bottom of the tablet is on top.  The bottom of the tablet looks much like the bottom of the laptop, so atheistically it looks like a upside down laptop when folded.

This is WIFI only, but you can add a GSM attachment to give it that capability. You can use Skype app to make calls

Someone alluded to "almost a desktop replacement".... Does this, or any other, TABLET have the ability to run/operate genuine applications - not 'apps' - such as productivity, ("Office",) or creativity, ("Corel",) etc., or anything other than web surfing and watching downloaded movies?

Yes, but if you want to do some HEAVY photo editing, even though there is a mobile Photoshop app for Android, the device itself may not have the power to do what you need.
For Office documents, Polaris Office, DataViz and a few others will easily edit Word, Excel and Powerpoint files. But again, it's a bit of a convenience issue if you have to do a lot of typing.
